Jahiem Haslem Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Martin Luther King Street (MLK$) Story In the late 1990s the teenagers in the neighborhood started calling themselves Neighborhood Gangsters. The locals living in the same area as the teenagers got to know them under the same name but the group of teens had different sections with different names. Some would call themselfs "Martin Luther King Street" Their street gang is mostly filled with African American young members. The origins of the street gang begins as Dushane Boufford a/k/a Likybo journey in Willowfield begins. As a corner dealer, he wasnt so rich and it took time for him to get noticed, after a long time selling, he met up Benjamin Banks and they became very close friends, almost like brothers. As they both became close friends they begin selling on the same corner and having the same money, more people were interested in joining them in their corner clique, but soon it became a small street gang known as "Martin Luther King Street".
