A  Formers Cartel Jailed for Drug Trafficking in Los Santos.

(update; May, 30 2018 Los Santos Crime)

Pedro Ezparza, 34, pleaded guilty to trafficking ecstasy and cocaine in 2018 and was sentenced to seven years while Damian Gustavo was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in jail with a four-month non-parole period for her role. The Supreme Court heard he supplied drugs which police say had a street value of $2.5 millions co-offered Ezparza. The court heard Pedro Ezparza collected $100,000 from Gustavo before they were all arrested.

Justice Brian Heksen has told the court those who traffic drugs for profit should expect severe punishment. Pedro Ezparza will serve a seven-year non-parole period, while Gustavo must serve at least three years of a five-and-a-half year sentence. Justice Heksen told the court he accepted Damian Gustavo had suffered considerable stress because of her husband's arrest and safety concerns connected to the gangland killings. However he rejected a submission that her state of mind at the time of the offence was significantly affected by post-natal depression. He said the offence was serious and Ezparza had prior convictions for drug trafficking and breaching a suspended sentence.

" Once you get those running shoes on, then there's no turning back ", the one and only statement that haunts me constantly, everytime I try to close my eyes.

It’s been 3 months since I, Portos Galliano made headlines around Santa Fe by committing the most brutal crime known in Santa Fe.

There were times when I thought, 'this is a very, very unforgiven' but I just carried on the duty without a hitch, because there was no rule that exist for me, there was no punishment or discipline to tell me it wasn’t right.

Despite the fact that I'm a fugitive wanted for murder, I keep on living in freedom after I managed to make one of the most impressive escapes in American history and reinvented myself in Los Angeles.

In the immediate aftermath of the crime, I might have looked like a culprit trying to hide his blood-red hands. But in my old-man's perception, Nacho Garcia, I'm just someone who needs redemption: a man running away from a troubled past.

“Reflecting on it now, it’s just what Los Angeles’s all about,” said Nacho Garcia.

“ Since Carlos and Danny passed me the responsibility to take care of you, I knew It was all about redemption. All about finding a new life.”

But the noose is beginning to tighten, rather than retreat from society and be out of sight, I decide to open another pages from the get-go.

This has always felt like a story without an ending.

Back in 2010, with a population of about 2 million, New Mexico had 8,87 burglaries per 1,000 people and Portos Galliano was among them.

There’s some disagreement as to how and when he was first drawn into burglaries and other crimes. There was a version had Galli pulling of his first run in early 2010 when he met Carlos Garcia who had the biggest responsibility for showing Galli the potential in making money through crime. After Carlos had a falling out with his previous partner who shorted him after selling some of their loot from a score, he invited Galli to be new partner in his crime. Since then, they've been through a lot of burglaries to feed their own appetite.

" This is a cycle. You got partying, you got financial desperation caused by the partying, you got crime as an answer to the financial desperation that then goes back to partying " - Carlos Garcia back in middle of 2011.

Two years later in 2012, when Carlos felt more than being than in 'trusted' in Galli that Galli often called him as his oldest brother, he introduced him to his uncle, Nacho Garcia which was primarily based in Los Angeles and Daniel 'Danny' Mejia and his small crew who had loan sharking operation running under their name. As a result of being impressed with the duo's past records, Danny took them in to work as his debt collectors, which was an unfamiliar role to the pair due to the experience gained in burglaries.

The job seemed easy enough for years.

“I made threats of arrest, property seizure, wage garnishment, and sometimes (usually if it's a woman ) I would threaten bodily harm if there is no payment....."

until a client dragged him into a situation deeper than could ever be anticipated and forced Galli to partook in his first murder, as the man who pulled the trigger, as the man who was responsible to set up a lone wolf bookmaker who refused to pay tribute to Danny Mejia.

“He didn’t know what he was going to do after that, He didn’t have a plan A, plan B, plan C.”

But he did have powerful friends. Through it all, he was looking over his shoulder for whoever was surely hunting him, even as he boarded a plane for what he hoped would be his final destination: Los Angeles.

“I’m sure that he missed certain aspects of what was left behind. It’s like you cut a chunk of your heart out leaving. But things seldom end the way you visualize in life. You can only take your best shot and roll with the punches.”
