$alvian1998$ Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Yùnhé shuǐ - (運河 水 - Water Canal Circle) is part of the Triad criminal organization that operates in the western United States. Triad itself is famous for its illegal activities ranging from vandalism, extortion, loansharking practices, and drug trafficking. Yùnhé shuǐ was formed in 1995 in Macau and slowly noted as one of the biggest Triad at that time. During 2000, under the Wang Shie Cheng, the Yùnhé shuǐ engaged in territory war by the smaller Triad, this war ended with a gunfight that happened on the late 2000s. The gunfight forced Yùnhé shuǐ to stop operating after 5 years. 7 years after the crackdown in Macau, the Yùnhé shuǐ resurfaced and moved their business through the hands of the younger generation in Triad. The first group resurfaced in Chicago is initiated by the later accountant of Yùnhé shuǐ in Macau. The group quickly grows and expanded their business in various cities such as Vancouver, San Fierro, and Sydney. Unlike the traditional triad groups, Yùnhé shuǐ composed primarily of American-born or Americanized Chinese but also allowed foreign-born Chinese members. This marks the modernization of the triad group and evolution within the organization. Marina Canal, Los Santos Later in 2018, the Yùnhé shuǐ that is operated in San Fierro sought opportunity by expanding their operations to Los Santos. The group tasked their recently out of jail member after 8 years imprisonment, Benedict Tsai. After being freed from the prison, Tsai is primarily given task to expand the business in Los Santos. Accompanied by Steve Wang and David Wong, an associate and his high school friend. They’re setting their base of operation on the south part of Los Santos, claiming the Marina Canal and part of Verona Beach as their primarily teritory and run the neighborhood with an iron grip.
