Ganton gang members arrested in major gun-trafficking bust
Apr 9, 2008

Los Santos, SA: Two members of an infamous Crenshaw Bloods gang have been arrested in East Los Santos on conspiracy, attempted murder, drug and weapons charges.

Luther Wright, 20, and Deshawn Tolbert, 18, were arrested Wednesday by U.S. Marshals and the Los Santos Police's Office, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshal’s Office.

The pair were sought by police in connection with a gang takedown involving a Brooklyn, NY, set of Bloods street gang members.
Luther and Tolbert are being charged as part of the gang conspiracy and are facing charges of: criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, possession and sale of weapons, burglary and robbery, as well as drug charges, the release said.

An U.S. Marshals task force in South Carolina began working on Monday to find the two and soon learned that Wright had relatives in the Ganton area.
The two were arrested at a home on Alice Ave. in Centenary. Wright was found lying in his bed and Tolbert was found in a bathroom water heater closet, according to the release.

Clark and Tolbert were booked into Marion County Detention Center to await extradition back to New York.

"These two individuals with New York gang ties thought South Carolina would provide a barrier between them and the prosecution of their alleged crimes. Gangs cause havoc in our neighborhoods and these arrests prove once again that when multiple law enforcement agencies team up to serve the citizens of South Carolina, our streets are safer," said Kelvin Washington, U.S. Marshal for South Carolina.
