$ONPOINT.$ Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 THE IRONSKINS LEGION The Ironskin Legion commonly referred to as the Ironskins or Legion, is an American far-right/alt-right political movement. This claim (of being merely a political movement) has been disputed by recent reports[2], displaying hateful behaviour and violent outbursts. It is also public knowledge that some of their members have been convicted for felonies. Thomas Milner, a known figure in the organisation, has been convicted with six years of prison time due to battery and assault. William Gospel, a vocal rally speaker, has been charged for hate crime and convicted for assault. Ronald Kelly, albeit not convicted or charged with any felonies or misdemeanour, is infamous with the local media. Ironskins in a riot, bearing an alternate logo; a black cross. The Ironskins have been reportedly active since their participation in Trump presidential campaigns across San Andreas. However, claims have been made by the Ironskins that they are an old order that have roots which can be traced back to the ancient Roman Empire[3]. For this reason, they organise their ranks with names inspired by ancient Roman military ranks. While still maintaining a modern military hierarchy system, they add special groups such as a "praetorian guard" reserved for their most loyal members[3]. Ironskin members are described as aggressive and cultist. It has been advised that invitations to join the group should be rejected. Ironskins in Unite the Right Other than being active in official political campaigns, they have been associated with right wing movements and white-supermacist activities. Going as far as participating in Charlottesville's Unite the Right rally in Virginia. They were recorded shouting hate chants such as "Yous [an intentional replacement for the word Jews] will not replace us", along with Ultranationalist chants like "Blood and soil." In this rally, the Ironskins were very vocal about their thoughts on gun rights and anti-immigration. It was also during this event that they were recorded sporting the infamous starred Valknut symbol, along with lifting up the Confederate Battle Flag. Ironskins "riding" in a Trump rally. Among other activities, one of the most notorious movements that was initiated by the Ironskins is the Saint Andrew Demand. In it details their reasoning behind why "The San Andreas state name is not a national name with patriotic roots" and that it should be replaced with a more "...American name that can inspire pride, unity and patriotism; something that translates the hopes and dreams of the people that live within it and the original founding fathers of the United States; which all hold the original values that are not adulterated by foreign influences of degenerate culture and immorality." The Ironskins propose that the state name should be Saint Andrew. This suggestion has been critiqued and attacked by many[4][5], saying that the Ironskins are blatantly a hate group[4], and that they should be arrested for their blatant hate speech[4]. However infamous the Ironskins are, they have not yet been met with legal repercussions due to the political nature of their group. They have not yet been proven to be conducting anything worthy of misdemeanour and/or felony case. The local authorities' disposition remains neutral towards them. We put emphasis on fun, immersion and story-building more than anything: realism, 'coolness', post-count etc. We understand the limitation of a game, thus we will treat this no more than a game.
