By Terry Webb Around 07:30 PM, a violent gang shootout occured against the police in El Corona, precisely El Corona Flats. Shots were being fired in this place, after two officers drove past this alleyway and found two hispanic males holding guns. The males in question appear to be around the age of 16-18 but have not been even identified. However, the police have reasons to believe this could be the work of the infamous Rifa 13 gang. The gang members had left two officers deceased, critically as they were brutally shot by the gang members. A guy was caught on camera on the flats carrying out an heavy gun, possibly a Shotgun. The shooter was believed as a hispanican male, because of his clothes style."He aimed his gun towards the police whom scouting around the area at that time. He was with the other armed group that occupied by approximately four unidentified people." A Detective Inspector said. This incident gained the attentions of civilians. The area was too crowded, and also caused occlusion due a lot of people were used to maintain the scene. "The mens were extremely violent, shooting the police officers ferociously. They didn't go back, but kept bombarding the officers by bullets and shit. They were shinning towards the officers, firing the shots. Caused several officers brutally wounded. It was a scary sight. Some of them wore blue bandanas to conceal their identity whilst the shooting. Underage kids were also involved within this crossfire, probably the gang members of this group. Shots were heard, very loud. Thought of it would've been ended quickly, but this shooting went so long. I thought it was the biggest war as ever." said a local.
