Intro

18th Street gang, also known as Calle 18, Barrio 18, La18 or Mara-18 in Central America is a multi-ethnic transnational criminalorganization that started as a street gang in the Rampart Area of Los Angeles, California. They are considered to be the largest transnational criminal gang in Los Angeles and it is estimated that there are tens of thousands of members in Los Angeles County alone. Their wide-ranging illegal activities and notoriety has come to the attention of the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In the early 2000s, the government initiated raids against known and suspected gang members netting hundreds of arrests across the country. 18th Street cliques have been identified in 120 cities in 37 states and the District of Columbia in the United States, as well internationally in Spain, Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Lebanon, Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.





Culture

18th Street gang members are required to abide by a strict set of rules. Failure to obey the word of a gang leader, or to show proper respect to a fellow gang member, may result in an 18-second beating, or even execution for more serious offenses. According to the FBI, some factions of the 18th Street gang have developed a high level of sophistication and organization. 18th Street gang members often identify themselves with the number 18 on their clothing and sporting clothing from sports teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Lakers and Oakland Raiders. 18th Street will use the symbols XV3, XVIII, X8, 666, 99,(9+9=18), and 3-dots in their graffiti and tattoos. 18th Street colors are blue and black; blue is to represent Surenos (despite not being affiliated with them) used to pay tribute to The Mexican Mafia, and black is to represent the original color for the gang. The 18th Street gang is occasionally referred to as the "Children's Army" because of its recruitment of elementary and middle-school aged youth. They also allow other races to join their ranks making the gang Multi-ethnic. In El Salvador it is common for members of the gang to be tattooed on the face with a large 18 In many cases the tattoo covers the entire face.

18th street gang had spreaded to Los Santos since 2010, but their growth is slow. In fact, some of the cliques are now gone. Most of them are arrested by the local police department, but there are some of them who died on the streets. Knowing this, there are lots of 18th street gang members from outside Los Santos migrating from their clique to build a new one. The new clique is not yet known by the people, due to it's size.


OOC Information

This is a hispanic gang with most of their members are Hispanics. If you are interested on joining us then you should start your character as a teenager living in the same neighborhood as the gang. We also accept a few minorities roleplaying as black people or caucasian in our ranks, but that will be harder than the usual hispanics. We also have zero tolerance on our member breaching the server rules.

Los santos never slept, there a lot of gang wandering on the noon up to midnight exclusively 18th street gang. Carlos 'SNAKE' Iglesias as a second Captain when Jesus ’GOD’ Salazar is not existed on their hood. The state seemed unsafe cause of a fight between other gangs which led to riots against the people, but 18th street gang members already used to.
Salva, Cello, Christmas,Ghost,Lipe were their 'Children's Army', although their sized still arguably not too broad in numbers. in the past 2013's the term "EIGHTEENTH" was faded gradually, all fellow members of 18th street gang were disappeared, Dustin ’Checo’ Nevarez just surviving and figuring to retake their wealth by finding more youngster.
In the 2014's the gang is built in NumbAlley El corona, the gang formed again but there is no presence of blue (sureno) in each of its members. Dustin ‘Checo’ Nevarez led its gang, and the other was a Soldier, their role are smuggling,murdering,robbing,rape, cheating, etc. the members must follow very strict rules. "If failed to obey its rules, will get an applicable penalties up to lead to death" Dustin remarked.
Since then, many local "youngsters" had assembled on NumbAlley, O.G's told them to be wicked gradually he told them to get and sell. All these customs are meaningless for ordinary people. the terms 'get and sell' itself contained its own meaning. get is; earn as much money for their Shot-Caller. Whereas, sell is; sell the goods supplied from Shot-Caller whether they're drugs or guns. Not only that thing, The O.G tells to those new boys to be a savage thug, a violence have became their consumption in daily, they are educated in a way that is very rough, sometimes there is a boy almost dying.
When they (youngsters) already trusted by O.G, they have to get assaulted within 18 second after it's done, a boy who get assaulted will have promoted as part of its gang, It's called '' get jumped'', there are lots cultures, tattooed himself with a number 18 or something related to the 18th Street gang.
