Break-into-the-dark.png      After declaring Mano MC as their main rival, Higakizoku faced new enemies from the westside, signaling that their expansion into drug territory had not gone unnoticed. Nariyoshi strengthened his alliances with other gangs on the Eastside, offering them exclusive deals on weapons like UZIs, TEC-9s, and MP5s. Hasegawa, with his right-hand man Maxhill Edwards, also supplied crack to gangs like Hellhound MC in Fort Carson and Anathema MC in Willowfield. While Hasegawa focused on expanding their territory in Fort Carson, Nariyoshi took the risky step of infiltrating the Westside, mainly supplying Morvea MC. With Saito by his side, Nariyoshi gained the respect of Morvea’s president, Paul Barayev, and the rest of the MC members by providing them with quality firearms. Meanwhile, Takiya Seriya and his right-hand man, Akimitsu Benjiro, were building their own business, buying stockpiles of crack and guns from Nariyoshi and Hasegawa to make money on the side. Nariyoshi and Hasegawa didn’t mind as long as they didn’t mess with their primary gang relations. Nariyoshi also made a deal with members of the Playboy Bunnies Crew, whom he accidentally met in Idlewood. Patricio Ezequiel and Duante Pashamore were looking for "snowflakes," and Nariyoshi quickly offered them a large supply of drugs along with Desert Eagle handguns. Duante and Patricio, both affiliated with the 13, or "Surenos," were intrigued by Nariyoshi’s offer and introduced themselves. By September 2023, Hasegawa was still enjoying the success of his drug dealings, unaware that a detective named Marc Eisenhower was closing in on him. Marc had been investigating Hasegawa’s crack distribution across town and was tightening the noose. When Hasegawa realized he was being tailed, he immediately informed Nariyoshi to hide their stash. Unable to stay at the bar any longer, Hasegawa decided to lay low and stay away from Playa until things cooled down. Nariyoshi swiftly moved the remaining drugs from the bar’s basement to his private garage, establishing it as his second stash. A week later, Marc Eisenhower was interviewed on the news, leading the investigation into Hasegawa Takumi and officially identifying Higakizoku as a Drug Trafficking Organization. Alarmed, Nariyoshi secretly informed Hasegawa that there might be a snitch within Higakizoku. Hasegawa shared the same suspicion, and it didn’t take long for them to hunt down the informant. Orders were given to find the snitch and eliminate him on sight. Six months later, Hasegawa, still on the run, decided to leave his hiding spot and cross into Nevada, hoping to evade the law in Las Venturas. However, as soon as he arrived, he was recognized by local police. Unbeknownst to him, Hasegawa had become a nationally wanted man. Without resistance, he allowed himself to be arrested, thinking this might be the end of his criminal career. But the Tatsuyuki-Kai had other plans. Using their influence, they managed to corrupt some cops and judges, and surprisingly, Hasegawa was released without charges. Meanwhile, Paul Barayev from Morvea MC placed an unusual order for guns from Nariyoshi, insisting that Nariyoshi deliver them personally. Trusting Paul, Nariyoshi agreed, unaware that Paul had hidden a camera behind his jacket during the transaction in Nariyoshi’s private garage. A week later, Paul contacted Nariyoshi again, requesting a small amount of crack. When Paul arrived at Nariyoshi’s place in Playa, he was ambushed by the cops. Paul had betrayed him, but fortunately, Nariyoshi had been careful during the recorded transaction, revealing only that he had a few guns and drugs on hand. It didn’t take long for the cops to raid Nariyoshi’s flat and private garage, but they found only a small amount of contraband. Unlike Hasegawa, who was fully exposed as a key figure, Nariyoshi was interrogated by Detective Jasemond Grantham, who questioned him about his activities and affiliations. Evidence from other MCs and the few incriminating items found led to Nariyoshi’s arrest. Unable to lie his way out of all the charges, Nariyoshi was sentenced to two years in jail. This time, the Tatsuyuki-Kai didn’t intervene. Instead, Maxhill Edwards, Nariyoshi’s left-hand man, used his own money to bail him out.
