Lenore Boyer and Bruce Brown tie the knot at a courthouse wedding on January 28th 1969. Both were members of the Detroit based Penetrators Motorcycle Club. The penetrators were founded in the early 1960's in Michigan and are still around today this day. Lenore was just 20 years old and had been running with the club for an about a year when she got married to Bruce, who had been a member for a few years already. From what I was told, in this instance if you were the wife of a member you automatically gained membership. There was a point where women were equals to the men in clubs, and could join freely if they had the guts and could hold their mud. (Which a lot of them were nastier than the boys) By this point clubs like the Hells Angels had kicked women out of the club and it became the culture standard across the board that women were not permitted to be full patch members. Lenore was one of the last full patch women members before the penetrators followed the new laws of the land. Bruce & Lenore got divorced years later, and Bruce passed away in the 90's and Lenore might still be around.
