Orson_Veers Orson Veers, simply referred to as Orson or Veers by those around him, was born in 1990 to a family in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Veers grew up as a single child in a family with long-lasting law enforcement traditions. Both his father and grandfather were decorated police officers in the local department. On the other hand, his mother was a housewife giving Veers most of the attention growing up. As a teenager, he occasionally joined his father in his duty as a ride along participant. These rides along changed who he is as he saw how rough the job of a police official was firsthand. During his final ride along, his father was responding to a store robbery report where he told Veers to stay in the car as he went into the store. All Veers heard was a single gunshot before multiple police backups arrived on scene. His father was killed during the job. The robber who shot his father was nowhere to be found when the backups arrived. This is what inspired Veers to enlist in the academy and become a police officer in Portsmouth’s police force. A few years into the job, he received a report of an armed robbery going on in the same store where his father was killed. It turns out that the same robber who shot his father was the one doing the same act again. Not knowing this, Veers responded to the report and, not making the same mistake as his father before him, waited for backup to arrive before going into the store. They successfully apprehend the robber. As he found out the robber was his father’s killer, his mind was filled with thoughts. His grandfather, a commander in the force, notices Veers and talks to him. Veers' face gave it all up and his grandfather knew that Veers still hadn't moved on from his past. He arranged a transfer for Veers to be assigned out of town to clear his mind of past trauma in Portsmouth. His destination would be San Andreas.
