Character: Arnold Boden

Story:

 

A native Illinois, Boden born in south side of Chicago City during early 1960s. His old man was a firefighter, and tragically killed-in-action when Boden was still a kid. He then raised by his mother alone, where he graduated from Wendell Philips Academy High School during 1980s. He enlisted to Chicago Fire Department to commemorate and honor his father, but this originally idea was challenged by his mother—who afraid that she will lose Boden to the same profession and scene that killed her husband—but Boden's will is stronger than ever, thus stay enlisting to Fire Department despite his mother disapproval, this act straining Boden's relationship to his mother.

 

In Chicago Fire Department, Boden quickly attain Lieutenant rank after years of serving as smoke-eater. Despite success within his career, his mother is both dismayed and worried with Boden, her traumatic experience is understandably the biggest factor. During late 90s, Boden led Truck Company 11 under Fire Station 51 where his time mostly spent working in the Station. When September 11 attacks happened, Boden's Company were included to supply manpower to Fire Department of the City of New York City (FDNY) to help rescue those in 9/11 scene. This tragedy shook Boden till this day.

 

He then transferred to San Andreas Fire Department (previously known as Medical Department) after death of his mother, where he attained Battalion Chief to held the responsibility for the newly-built Fire Station 34. Although he is a Battalion Chief, he is an approachable man, many of his Lieutenants and subordinates were easily be around him, be it for work-related business or personal one. Years of tenure as Battalion Chief, Boden promoted to 1st. Deputy Commissioner of the San Andreas Fire Department to fill the shoe left by former Deputy Commissioner Anna Zarkhaeva. Even as Deputy Commissioner, Boden is still more attracted to field work instead of in office, concerning with his health, the Fire Commissioner Matthew Ashworth through The Office of Fire Commissioner issued a reassignment for Boden, relieving him from 1st. Deputy Commissioner position to Fire Administrator. As an Administrator, Boden's job was to help Fire Commissioner in internal, external, and especially legal matter of the Department. Coincidentally when Fire Commissioner Matthew Ashworth resigned from the Department, Boden also did the same. After resigned, he live in a humble apartment where most of his time were spent on his hobby—tinkering with automobiles. It is unknown if he will ever back to his self past.
