$OCEANSIDE$ Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Eastside Varrio Clover 13 is a Sureño street gang based in the eastern district of Los Santos and consists mainly of residents of Mexican descent, with roots dating back to the late 1970s when they were known as the Clover City Boys, a group of Latino youths originally formed to protect the rapidly growing Latin community around Glen Park area. In 1990, as their membership and influence grew, the name was officially changed to East Side Clover 13 to mark the transition from a simple friendship group to a more organized and structured varrio. They declared an alliance with the Mexican Mafia and added the number "13" to their name as a symbol of the letter "M" (the 13th letter of the alphabet) representing their loyalty to La eMe while affirming their identity as part of Sureño culture. LINCOLN RECREATION PARK Lincoln Recreation Park is the main hub of activity for Eastside Clover 13, which has served as its operational headquarters for nearly a decade, coinciding with the emergence of the faction's second generation. As the most historic park in the eastern district of Los Santos, the area has a high crime rate, including a series of second-degree murders involving faction members. This series of violent incidents is officially recorded in police documents as the “Ghost Park Case”, a term later adopted by local media to refer to a pattern of repeated deaths with similar characteristics at the same location over a four-year period. The first incident that started this dark record occurred in 2011, involving Allan “TenySniper” Cesar (23), a member of the third generation of Eastside Clover 13. Cesar was pronounced dead at 11:00 p.m. from fatal stab wounds after CCTV footage from a liquor store showed him walking alone toward the park at 9:00 p.m. The lack of physical evidence and eyewitnesses at the scene slowed down the police investigation without significant results, which then triggered tension within the faction for years. A similar pattern of violence occurred in 2015, when Javes “Tanker” Parejo (16), a fourth-generation member, was found dead at the same location with injuries identical to those in Cesar's case. Police suspected a direct link between the two murders, indicating unresolved internal conflicts or planned rivalries between opposing factions. Although the investigation was reopened to find a connection between the two victims, no single suspect was ever legally identified until the active investigation was halted in 2020. The closure of the case with an unsolved status reinforced Lincoln Recreation Park's reputation as a high-risk security area under the dominance of Eastside Clover 13. TINY JOHNSTON KNIGHTS Tiny Johnston Knights (TJKS) are known as the first and most influential sub-clique within East Side Clover 13. Entering their fourth generation, their structure has become much more organized than in previous eras. Names such as Raul “BigSpooky” Gayoso, Alonzo “Peezy” Perez, and Domingo “Psycho” Nores emerged as central figures who controlled the direction of the clique. This fourth generation coincided with a period when the crack epidemic once again rocked Los Santos. Many gangs that had previously only engaged in street conflicts and hate speech began to shift their focus to the financial gains of drug trafficking. Under the control of Raul “BigSpooky” Gayoso, crack distribution in the East Side increased significantly. He was known as a figure with a vision for the street economy: not just defending territory, but creating a cash flow within the gang structure. They built a distribution network from the bottom up, establishing connections with small suppliers in the South Side area and then directing the supply to the eastern district. In a short time, the surge in crack distribution in the eastern region became the focus of many parties. East Side Clover 13 began to be known not only for its existence on the streets, but also for its growing economic influence. This situation triggered serious attention from the local police. The eastern block was often the target of patrols and surveillance operations because it was suspected of being the largest distribution point. Names such as Raul "BigSpooky" Gayoso, Alonzo "Peezy" Perez, and Domingo "Psycho" Nores began to be frequently mentioned in intelligence reports as figures who had significant influence in these activities. PRESENT DAYS The pressure peaked when the police announced legal action against gang activities that were deemed to have shifted entirely to drug trafficking. A gang injunction was imposed, restricting the movement and activities of identified members. Several East Side Clover 13 gang leaders at that time faced charges related to a sharp increase in drug distribution in the eastern region. However, the lack of concrete evidence that could be brought to court made most of the charges difficult to prove legally. Nevertheless, pressure from the authorities had a direct impact on internal dynamics, drug trafficking has declined dramatically to avoid further scrutiny. East Side Clover 13 remains active with the fourth generation now in control. After facing legal pressure and a decline in activity due to strict law enforcement surveillance, their structure has slowly stabilized. Meanwhile, the distribution of narcotics, which had previously declined, is now operating at a more controlled and covert pace compared to previous eras. Beyond illegal economic activities, their street identity is maintained through tagging and graffiti vandalism as symbols of territorial claims and continued existence, still visible in some corners of the eastern blocks, as well as through nettbanging in the digital age, where some members use social media to demonstrate affiliation, mock rivals, and build their group's online image. Tiak Posted March 2 Posted March 2 After internal review, this proposal is being denied at this time due to faction ecosystem balance. The server currently has multiple active Surenos 13 aligned factions, and approving additional 13 affiliated varrios would create oversaturation within the same umbrella identity. To maintain diversity, balance, and long-term roleplay sustainability, we are limiting the number of factions that operate under the same overarching affiliation. This decision is not a reflection of the quality of your thread, but rather a structural measure to preserve variety across the server’s criminal landscape. You are welcome to: Rework the concept into a non 13 affiliated group, or submit a different faction concept that brings a distinct identity not currently represented on the server. Thank you for your understanding.
