$DariSananyaAja$ Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 Double Nine Crips (DNC), also known as Niner Mafia Crips, is an African-American street gang operating in the eastern part of Los Santos. Double Nine Crips was formed in the 1980s, before which it was known as Double Nine Watts Gang before adopting Mafia Crips as their main umbrella. The Double Nine Crips consist of two groups or clique, which is the Nina Na Runnaz, located on 99th Street, followed by the Succo Street Crew, located on Success Street, which primarily comprises newer generations. Additionally, the Double Nine Crips are known for using yellow or gold colors, before their traditional color became blue, which is worn by Crips members. The Double Nine Crips adopted the Mafia Crips since 1982, following the death of Dequinn Pope. They are known for frequently engaging in drive-by shootings, drug trafficking, extortion, robbery, looting, premeditated murder, vehicle theft, vandalism, fraud, cybercrime, and illegal weapons smuggling. The Double Nine Crips claim sports as a way to represent themselves from Major League Baseball and NCAA Division 1, including the Milwaukee Brewers and Michigan Wolverines. It all started in the 1980s, with a middle-aged black man who was accused of consuming illegal drugs and distributing them to pregnant women, even though he did not do it and was innocent. The black man's name was Keantay Murphy, who lived in the eastern part of Los Santos. During his time in prison, he met people who were former gang members and some who were suspected of murder. Among those he met, he became acquainted with a former gang member named Dequinn Pope. Dequinn Pope was released from prison three weeks before Keantay Murphy was acquitted and released from jail. Before that, Dequinn Pope invited him to meet after they were released from prison, and coincidentally, Dequinn Pope was Keantay Murphy's neighbor, just a few steps away. This made it easier for them to meet and get to know each other. Dequinn Pope frequently invited Keantay Murphy to his friends' parties, where Keantay Murphy met many others who were also former gang members. Keantay Murphy later divorced his wife due to infidelity and gained custody of his child. From there, Keantay Murphy sought every means to obtain sufficient funds, resorting to various methods to achieve this. Keantay Murphy became a drug dealer, from being accused of it to actually becoming one. Behind that, there was a reason why he did it, he had been discriminated against by the state's legal system, and Dequinn Pope was one of the people who encouraged Keantay Murphy to deal drugs. Feeling that his income was insufficient, Keantay Murphy and Dequinn Pope formed a small group consisting of their friends and young people tainted by street violence. They named it the Double Nine Watts Gang. They expanded their gang across 99th Street and had sub-groups named Nina Na Runnaz and Succo Street Krew before moving to Success Ave. Two years after the Double Nine Watts Gang began operating, a tragic event occurred when Dequinn Pope was shot three times and killed during the Double Nine's big party on June 21. Gang rivalry was the cause of this incident, stemming from competition over drug sales, mutual dislike, and hatred, as well as the oppression of one of the gang members, leading to inter-gang conflict. Three months after the incident, the Double Nine Watts Gang adopted the Mafia Crips card set, changing its name to Double Nine Crips, also known as Niner Mafia Crips. Following this, the Double Nine Crips formed various alliances with gangs under the Mafia Crips umbrella, including the PJ Watts Crips. However, behind all this, the Double Nine Crips also had to compete with the Grape Street Crips after they vandalized the Grape Street Crips' territory, which coincidentally was also raided by an armed member, resulting in the death of a Double Nine member who was shot in the neck. This led to intense rivalry between the two gangs, with many casualties resulting from gunfights. Subsequently, the Double Nine Crips expanded their territory to Succes Ave, placing the Succo Street Crew there. In the 2010s, the Double Nine Crips underwent changes to their system and membership to keep up with the times, and one of their veterans, Keantay Murphy, passed away due to illness because he was too old to continue with the gang. He is now labeled a legend in the Double Nine Crips. The Double Nine Crips were continued by subsequent generations, one of whom is the son of Keantay Murphy, whom he raised until adulthood and who is now initiated as a gang member in the Double Nine Crips. His name is Denaris Tate. He operates the Double Nine Crips alongside his crew, much like his father did. Denaris Tate was not initially a violent person, but he changed after his close friend, Itrez Terry, was killed by a rival gang while hanging out late at night. Following this incident, Denaris Tate became depressed and began abusing drugs, nearly overdosing as a result. His friends pushed Denaris Tate back onto the streets, and from there, he became aggressive and began taking on missions that often involved premeditated murder. Consciously, Denaris Tate reduced the aggressiveness after passing the time imprisoned for cruel murder, he was tried for 12 years along with several of his crew. In prison, he met several members of a rival gang, and very often they quarreled and made noise inside the prison. However, it is not too often to do because it only causes injuries that actually make them not fit. Denaris Tate also often makes a training program for himself to keep his body fit, followed by his crew who often exercise and increase daily calories. They also sometimes lure people who are weaker and younger than them with a form of protection while in prison, it makes them earn money while they are still in prison. Not quite getting there, Denaris Tate recruits several people to join his gang program instead to earn money and jobs after leaving the gang. Not only mediocre people, former gang members were also recruited by him even though he himself was young, it did not make him open up opportunities for himself and his gang. Meanwhile, the Double Nine Crips remain stable and operate as usual. However, many things have happened to members of the Double Nine Crips, namely numerous rival gangs attacking the Double Nine Crips' territory and the discovery of vandalism by other gangs, which is suspected to be related to gang issues and personal problems between members. As a result, there have been numerous casualties each month, prompting the police to conduct regular patrols around the Double Nine Crips' territory. However, this has not deterred the Double Nine Crips from carrying out retaliatory missions, they can always carry out retaliation without the police's knowledge, though the victims are often members of the Double Nine Crips themselves. There was an incident where someone was killed during a clash between the Double Nine Crips and the Bounty Hunter Bloods, although at the time it was only a physical altercation without any gunfire. As a result, two members of the Double Nine Crips died due to the conflict, and one person was arrested by the police. In addition to conflicts, the Double Nine Crips frequently distribute illegal drugs to anyone to boost their finances, even resorting to stealing jewelry, vehicles, and property. On the other hand, the Double Nine Crips are not always troublesome, they seek validation from the community for their existence, engaging in community service and even partying with local residents. Two years earlier, when Denaris Tate was still in prison, a tragic murder occurred involving Parelle Oneal, a member of the Double Nine Crips, also known as Z-Blue. The murder was committed by a member of the Double Nine Crips' subset, the Succo Street Crew, named Wyees Hicks. Initially, they had personal issues related to a cheating partner, leading to a prolonged lack of contact. However, in a lyric from his album, Z-Blue mocked Wyees Hicks. After the song was released, Wyees Hicks stabbed Z-Blue, who was out late at night at the time. Z-Blue was found dead by a police officer who happened to be on patrol, and there was one witness who saw Wyees Hicks kill Z-Blue, and the incident was clearly recorded. After the incident, the two Double Nine Crips subgroups split apart, and a conflict arose between them that lasted for two years until Denaris Tate was released from prison. In mid-2025, Denaris Tate was released from prison earlier than his friends at the time. With his return, Nina Na Runnaz and Succo Street Crew, who had previously been divided and caused internal conflict for Double Nine Crips, now have a slightly better relationship. With internal problems that have not been completely resolved, this has caused Double Nine Crips to fade both socially and individually. There were some disturbances, such as betrayal and defection, but these were largely controlled, though some exceptions did occur. Denaris Tate remained loyal to the Double Nine Crips and gradually brought them back to their former glory. With significant changes over time, the way they run their programs and activities has evolved significantly compared to the past. As a result, many members of the Double Nine Crips have become artists, entertainers, rappers, singers, and musicians, representing their gang through their song lyrics or works. Double Nine Crips is an African-American street gang faction that depicts modern life as a member of the Crips gang. All roleplay we do is based on how life and survival on the harsh streets are like when affiliated with or as a member of the gang. Double Nine Crips is a card set from the Mafia Crips, so in our future dialogues, we will roleplay as if we are genuine members of the Mafia Crips. We are opening the door for the Jogjagamers community who wish to participate with the Double Nine Crips faction, prioritizing those who aim to engage in roleplay rather than shootouts. Additionally, we emphasize and support those who wish to roleplay with us and develop their characters as the roleplay progresses. Don’t hesitate if you can’t type in English; we’ll learn together. We do not tolerate individuals with a history of faction jumping, double factioning, or a poor reputation. We are seeking serious individuals to roleplay with the Double Nine Crips faction.
