Dread Park Piru (DPP) is an African-American street gang based in Idlewood, an area on the west side of Los Santos. Its members claim allegiance to the Piru Bloods. Unlike other gangs, the members of Dread Park Piru fully embody the Piru lifestyle, operating under a strict code of loyalty and seeking revenge with a total disregard for fear. The gang's historical roots can be traced back to the 1990s. They built a reputation for violence, making them notorious in Idlewood.

 

 

Jordan Downs Community Housing complex is located in the Idlewood section of Piru's Dread Park. It is also an area where various operations, such as drug trafficking, illegal firearms, extortion, and other violent activities, occur. They often mark their territory with red sashes or graffiti symbols as a warning. They are very present throughout Los Santos, with a notable base in Jordan Downs. While their operations are not frequent, they often leave no witnesses to those conducted in the neighborhood.

 

Although it was an open place, the government ignored it, resulting in high poverty and crime rates in the Jordan Downs Community Housing in Idlewood. Dread Park Piru has lived in this place for a long time and committed various crimes. They continue to live a life of crime because they want to be known.

 

 

 

In 2001, Dread Park Piru became infamous, ranking No. 1 in crime history. This incident made the government concerned about Jordan Downs Community Housing, where Dread Park Piru operated. The police and FBI planned to kidnap some members of Dread Park Piru to learn more about the gang before carrying out a siege, but some members chose to remain silent, angering the FBI.

 

On December 12, 2001, at 12 p.m. the police and the FBI planned to surround and arrest all the members of Dread Park Piru who were operating as usual. However, their actions were discovered first, which resulted in a shootout with the police and the FBI. Due to a lack of troops and preparation, the police and the FBI had to retreat. The government was upset because they did not want to prolong the case, so they ended up covering it up. Conversely, Dread Park Piru was destroyed due to the large number of casualties, yet the operation continued and continues to this day.

 

Modern Day.

The older generation of Dread Park Piru is no longer active. Some programs and politics are now run by the new generation because times have changed. Dread Park Piru frequently uses social media and dating apps for transactions and to promote their rap music. Even so, the new generation is considered tougher and more dangerous than the old generation. They often get involved in conflicts with rival gangs and do not hesitate to confront those who challenge them. Dread Park Piru is still considered one of the most active gangs today and is loyal to the Piru Bloods.
