$Amroen$ Posted May 16, 2025 Posted May 16, 2025 18th Street is a Mexican-American street gang located in the West Central of Los Santos around Temple Street. We're roleplaying that this gang continues to expand its territory to West Vinewood and Southwest. And we have chosen this gang to portray it realistically as possible just like in the real life. The 18th Street also known as Eighteen St, Varrio 18, or simply 18 is a Mexican-American street gang that use the symbols XVIII, XV3, 99, and 666 as a marker that they are members of the gang. 18th Street was actually once part of the Clanton 14 or a splinter of the gang itself that split due to restrictions in merging different ethnicities, so the 18th Street gang was formed to allow members of other ethnicities to join and to live with the same flag and sign as 18th Streeter. Row of flats on Temple Street which is also the West Side part of Central Los Santos are where the most of 18th Street members live which makes the place being the center of drugs and arms distribution in the street market around Central that is controlled by the gang members. They are also spread across the block to some parts of West Vinewood and Southwest that making themself controlling a larger area than other cliques that border the 18th Street Gang. And for decades, the gang continues to grow by controlling several blocks from the center of its spread. With the control of a fairly wide territory and the spread of group members in almost all corners around the gang territory, making it one of the most feared gangs in the West Central of Los Santos and making it a vast place or even a paradise for criminals. Unfortunately, the gang continuously competes with other gangs that directly border their territory in order to strengthen their own gang, armed clashes often occur for various reasons from both parties, as a small example where one party from the two gangs enters the territory of another one to distribute drugs, as the own pride of the gang that no one wants this to happen on both sides, and bringing the 18th Street often seen patrolling the border block without being noticed by the oppositions. The 18th Street is thriving with a new generation that has remained and holds the pride of being a member of the gang after several decades, along with the good leadership for the gang members, paving a proper path in hood life, playing hood politics for the benefit of all members, and appreciating all members in contributing to the gang. A person who is confirmed to lead this hood as the most respected is named Cortez Mercado, or commonly called Rocky, with his partner who is always loyal as Rocky's right hand, namely, Tacito Grijalva, with the street name Holle. In this leadership, Rocky tends to allow all members of the gang to do whatever they want as long as it does not harm the name of the hood or anything that can tarnish the gang's reputation in street life without even thinking about the small risks that might occur. And that is how Rocky makes himself still the one who is respected by all members who remain in the line that Rocky wants. In recent years, Rocky and Holle have grown older and have a sense of wanting to achieve something big, no longer being in the phase of doing only the important things in hood life, thus, they are both very ambitious to bring their hood name to be better in the street market of distributing drugs and arms, as well as the gang respect in the harsh street life. This led Rocky to recruit more members and trust some of his homies to move as the pushers directly under him. Among them are Rocky's best friend since childhood, named Ligio Armenta, who is commonly called Trigger L / Triggy, Ilhuicamina Baltazar or Camo, Cesar Prado also known as Cezo, Pascual Tenorio or Tracy, Savino Calzadilla or Mozzy, Inhue Pomar or Snowfo, Hakeem Dashawn or Shawn, a guy that is always hungry named Erasmo Bautista who is known as Moby, and a crazy girl who is known to be sadistic named Keinara Loretta or called Louita. They are all the names of many members chosen by Rocky and have almost the same ambition as Rocky and Holle to bring the name of the gang to the top. The 18th members would do everything they can to keep making money, they have been dealing drugs and arms for a long time, especially in most areas of West Side, West Vinewood, and South Central. They do the job very professionally and experienced, and it is even rare for them to be caught by the police in dealing drugs and arms, not only illegal business, this gang also has a legal business that benefits many members of the gang. Rocky once said, “This stuff also feeds the homies” about the workshop that has become one of the financial supports of the 18th Street members. Yep, apart from the street business that continues to run and is well controlled by the gang members, they also have a workshop that has been running for the past few years, making it one of the platforms to make enough money in daily life, especially for those who are called lil homies who have just started their life in the street life. This workshop is the legacy of a man called Uncle Jack, a white man who was born and raised on Temple area. Uncle Jack was a good person by the local people who live around Temple, he even often chatted with 18th Street members in his spare time. Unfortunately, Uncle Jack left Temple and gave the responsibility of his workshop to the gang members, and made the workshop a memory of Uncle Jack. And then, 18th Street members manage the workshop and make it a force in competing in the field of legal business, occasionally this workshop is used as a place for large-scale transactions, where this business runs as a cover for their illegal business. In this faction, we roleplay as a member of 18th Street just like in the real life. And of course, we try to build the atmosphere of the 18th Street neighborhood in JGRP, especially around Temple area, where we roleplay about life as a member of 18th Street.
