BravoSix6 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 AGLS THE FINEST In the 1990s, a gang known as the Artoria Garden Locos Salvatruchas (AGLS) or referred as the East Side Artoria Garden Locos Salvatruchas (ESAGLS) establish itself in the East of Los Santos area, specially the Artoria Park. The gangs initially known as a Tagger crew called Chicos Calientes Clicka, a group of young Salvadoran people who ingaged in tagging and graffiti for territory marking. However, in 1993 as the influence of the Mara Salvatrucha 13, transnational gang spread throughout the Los Santos especially the East Side area. Chicos Calientes evolved into a more organized and a dangerous faction, they adopting the "13" as the symbol of their affiliations with the Mara Salvatrucha 13 and the Mexican Mafia. And eventually changing their names into Artoria Garden Locos Salvatruchas. The name Artoria Garden Locos Salvatruchas was derived from Arthur Widnsey Park, a public space park between the Artoria St and the Victoria St, a place where AGLS usually hangout, also the place of the gangs usually do the drug sales and some violent crimes, in 2012, A machete attacks reported in that area. State by the Los Santos Goverment as the most dangerous and worst park in Los Santos especially the East Side area. The AGLS quickly gained control over the East Side region, not just claiming the Artoria Park but also several neighborhoods, including the Meltdown St, the Boyd St, Rosemont St and Degnan St. The dominance makes them to establish themselves as one of the most feared gang in the area. In the modern days, they often wore the Atlanta Braves and the La Angels gear to representing their identity in the neighborhood. ORIGINS OF MARA SALVATRUCHA 13 MS-13 was formed during a time of significant instability for a large number of Salvadoran immigrants. El Salvador underwent a terrible civil war in the late 1970s and early 1980s, killing thousands of people and causing significant displacement. The Salvadoran government and paramilitary forces fought Marxist rebels, resulting in massive violence and socioeconomic breakdown. As the conflict escalated, a substantial number of Salvadorans fled, with many seeking refuge in the United States. When they arrived, they were met with destitute, primarily Latino neighborhoods in cities like Los Santos, San Andreas. Several well known groups were established in Los Santos Area, especially the notorious street gangster. the Barrio 18th Street Gang. To protect themselves from harm and abuse, the Salvadorian formed "Mara Salvatrucha" named that highlight the Salvadoran heritage and history. Due to the aftermath of the civil war, the gangs was reshaped, it transforming into not just a street gang. It became a symbol of survival for every young salvadoran living in the community that are living in Los Santos Area. EXPANSION AND VIOLENCE The Mara Salvatrucha 13's quickly gained a reputation for their violents and fierce loyalty, while formed a self-defense, the gang soon more ingage in a criminal activity, such as drug trafficking, extortion, robberies, and human smuggling. They are known made their presence with a brutality acts of violence, include the Machete attacks, killing a gang member, and a brutal public executions. The number of "13" became synonymous with the Mexican Mafia, the largest and most powerful prison gangs in Los Angeles which MS-13 had such relationship, however, they're gangs more focused on street level violence and drug trade, whereas the Mexican Mafia's influence was primarily within U.S prisons. Mara Salvatrucha 13's code was based on violence and loyalty. Members must prove their dedication to the gang through several violent acts. Breaking the code can be result in any severe punishment, even death. This strict rules approach to loyalty and discipline is a key feature of the gang, helping it maintain over its members and territories DEPORTATIONS AND GLOBAL SPREAD In the 1990s, the United States Goverment began to crackdown on undocumented immigrants, especially with those who involved in criminal activities. The goverment implemented mass deportation policies, sending thousands of the MS-13 members back to their country in Central America. Instead of wiping down the gang, the deportation actually fueled their expansion across the region. The former members brough their gang culture, criminal and networks with them, helping the MS-13 become a powerful transnational gang in Central America. The gangs took advantage of the region's instability. embedding itself in a local communities and gaining control in both cities and rural areas. In the 2000s, MS-13 had transformed into the Transnational criminal organization with over of thousands members across the North America, Central America and even some parts in the europe. The growth of Mara Salvatrucha paralleled a rise in violence in the region encompassing El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. Human trafficking, drug trafficking and other illegal activities would come to dominate the gang’s operations. Confrontations with the local cops and competing factions only perpetuated the cycle of violence and crime NOTORIOUS CRIMES AND THE GOVERMENT CRACKDOWNS The MS-13 is notorious for its involvement in a horrific crimes, including the mass killings, human trafficking,etc, the gangs also involved into the Criminal Organization.The Goverments across the North America and Central America have made significant efforts to crackdowns on Mara Salvatrucha 13, especially during the 2000s and 2010s. In the U.S, the FBI and other law enforcements have prioritized dismantling the gang through the undercover operations. In El Salvador and Honduras, goverments have launched the Military "iron fist" (known as mano dura) policies, which was focused on mass arrest and the use of force againts suspected members. While these crackdowns resulted in a thousands of arrests and some notable victories, the MS-13 has proven to be highly resilent and adaptable. In many cases, these efforts have driven the gang further underground, making it even harder to dismantle. CULTURE AND MYTHS MS-13 has become a symbol of fear and violence, often potrayed in the media as the ultimate example of immigrant's street gangster. Their tattoos, hand signs, and graffiti are instantly reconizable, with the number of "13" strongly tied to its identity. The media's are focused on the gang's extreme violence which caused fears about immigration and street gangs culture. Unfortunately, the potrayal are often unfairly stereotypes of the entire immigrant communities, especially the Salvadorans and entire Central Americans. In reality, most of the immigrants are not part/ties with a gang, but the Mara Salvatruchas 13's famous has causing public panic and intensified political debates about immigration. DECEASED AND LOCKED Juan Andres Mastache a/k/a Monstero ((Locked up)) Are known as Monstero ((Monster)) for his big impact in the fight against 18th Street Gangs in 2003, shooting and killing his opponent as well as murdering his own girlfriend, who was not linked with any gang. Before becoming an official member of AGLS, he suffered from using meth and drinking all night, as well as driving while intoxicated. Juan, like many other members of the Mara Salvatrucha, has been in and out of prison for minor offenses like robbery, murder, and hijacking. Later, Juan was jailed in 2005 for brutally murdering members of Harpys 13. Juan and his brother sneaked into the apartments where the victims were and violently killed them with weapons. The state believes that during the trial, Juan grinned at the wife of the guy he had already murdered while making an impact on the victims. Later, he was imprisoned for 20 years before being deported owing to illegal immigrants. However, he can still contact and control the gangs by his connections in Salvador. Maria Jonalles a/k/a abuelita ((Deceased, May 12 2014)) Maria Andrego Jonalles, aka Abuelita, born on June 23, 1965, was the oldest members from the Mara Salvatrucha 13, especially the AGLS clicka. She's being a respected and beloved members for all of the AGLS, also being their mother figures in the hood. Being put on in the gang in 1996, following his death beloved husband, Ernesto Jonalles who also known for being reputation on the gang, died in a car accident leaving Maria with one 5 years old child name Sandiago Jonalles, who also die after getting cancer.
