Led by the ambitious and ruthless Eagen "Don" Ruadhan, MAD Troops quickly made a name for itself through online heists and cybercrimes that baffled both authorities and rival gangs. Seeking new opportunities and greater challenges, Eagen relocated the gang to Los Angeles, specifically targeting MAD Troops. The Temple business district, with its mix of wealth, innovation, and underlying corruption, was the perfect new playground for Troop's operations. MAD Troops is a gang located in Los Santos on the Apartment Main Street, Temple. They are a very active gang and have been around for nearly 2 years, dating back to the 2022s, when blockheads from the Apartement would sell drugs to make money. They are also one of Los Santos's Top Sets. All time, the MAD Troops is known to be one of the most dangerous, if not the most dangerous “street” gang, with more than 8 members facing life sentences for murder, kidnapping, torture, and other grievous offenses. All-time threat level is a 4. Locally, the MAD Troops have died down since the last “Operation Scepter,” in which several members of the gang were taken off the roads; they now only comprise a “6” on the Gang Unit Threat system. MAD Troops, also known more simply as MT or MAD, was a British street gang based in Temple, Los Santos, that formed sometime in the late 2022s. A group of young men aged 16 to 19 years who try to live like gangsters. The name carries various different meanings, such as Mandem Always Down, Move Anyhting Drop, Money, and Drug. By 2021, they were considered one of the most dangerous youth gangs in Los Angeles, with at least 1 murder being committed by alleged gang members since 2020. The local council and police in 2021 believed the gang was responsible for three quarters of violent incidents involving young people in Temple, with up to four suspect members of the gang going to jail for attempted arms dealers or criminals. The Main Street Apartments where MAD was formed have long had problems with gang violence and poverty, previously housing the gang. In a 2020 Lambeth government report, the Main Street to the Temple Drive was described as being “seriously deprived of income, employment, education, health, and crime.”. MAD Troops was initially associated with the colors navy (inherited from Older) and black (inherited from Y22s), although color associations would fade out by the 2022s. In 2021, James Blesset was shot dead by a group of youths in a tower block called Temple Suite on Main Street in Temple, Los Santos. It was initially reported that the youths who committed the murder were members of MAD Troops, but this was later found to be incorrect. They were in fact members of Peckham-based gang 22World Boys. The youths involved in the murder were themselves from Peckham and have been seen in 22World Boys videos. 19-year-old Kash Callaghan (also known as Choopa) was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years in prison for the murder. 20-year-old Domagh MacConnan (also known as Flame) was sentenced to 22 years for his involvement in the murder. In September 2022, Rooney 'Bear' Molony was caught by police selling drugs near his school, a member of MAD Troops, who was caught by police in the act. Police had been warned of potential violence in the school area but failed to send officers. Rochester High School is located in the Temple area, an area where young men from the rival MAD gang were found. The police were widely criticized for failing to act to prevent the crime. In 2022, 14-year-old Rory Dunn was paralyzed after being attacked by suspected MAD Gang members. Three suspected MAD Gang members, Eagen Ruadhan, Jesaiah Elliot, and Walsh Murfley (also known as Mat Antz), were jailed for life as a result. However, their parents denied that he was a member of MAD Gang and instead claimed that he was a member of 22nd World Boy. The three were actually trying to stab a rival gang member who ran into a shop where Rory, an innocent bystander, was. They attacked the shop indiscriminately and accidentally hit Rory in the chest, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Two months after Rory's stabbing, Donnacha Nagle was mugged by MAD members in their block. When he returned to retrieve his phone, he was stabbed by a MAD member. 16-year-old Jesaiah Elliot was sentenced to a minimum of two years in prison for the murder.
