Gokayama is an area within the city of Nanto in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. In general, Gokayama people's income comes from the agricultural sector and tourists. Gokayama attracts tourists because its traditional houses are a World Heritage Site. Even so, Goda Kaoru lives in a family that has minimal financial conditions. Goda Kaoru is the oldest of three siblings. Since the age of 12, Goda Kaoru and his two younger siblings were raised by their mother alone. Because of this condition, little Goda Kaoru has been working to help his mother to support his family. Long story short, at the age of 20, Goda Kaoru chose to leave his family and migrate to the capital. Goda Kaoru thinking that there is no bright future if he continues to live in the village. Goda Kaoru decides to stay in the capital city of Toyama and take part in the police academy selection. As a rural resident who lives in a hilly area, this makes Goda Kaoru strong and healthy. Goda Kaoru successfully passed the physical training test at the police academy with ease. Goda Kaoru's career while joining the police was amazing, where he received a promotion in just a short time. Within 10 years, Goda Kaoru succeeded in obtaining the position of Police Commander in Toyama Prefecture. Goda Kaoru never imagined his life would turn out like that. A young man who once came from the capital's village with just a few sheets of money, has now become the most influential person in the city. Goda Kaoru, who used to live in difficult financial conditions, now has two houses in one of the well-known areas in Toyama, Japan. As a police officer, Goda Kaoru's wealth is fantastic and has attracted the attention of several parties. Goda Kaoru was charged as a suspect for alleged corruption crimes. Based on the court's decision, Goda Kaoru was proven to have committed corruption and received a sum of money from several companies with the aim of making licensing easier. For this act, all of Goda Kaoru's assets were confiscated by the state and he was sentenced to two years in prison. After serving two years in prison, Goda Kaoru has now returned to ordinary society. As a former corruptor, Goda Kaoru also received social sanctions, namely being ostracized by society. This social punishment had a huge impact on Goda Kaoru's life, it was very difficult for him to get a job. As if returning to the story of his early life, Goda Kaoru decided to go abroad and start a new life in the city of Los Santos. Goda Kaoru changes his appearance and uses "Goku" as a nickname to hide his past.
