The West Side Water Gates Crips are an independent street gang based in Hawthorne, 500 Block Daisy Avenue, West Side, California, that is primarily composed of African Americans. The Watergates Crips got their start in the 1980s in the center of Hawthorne, close to Myrtle Street, which runs between Crenshaw and Van Ness Boulevards. The Rollin 100's Crips sets, which include numerous Hawthorne and Los Angeles OC/Orange County gangs, include the Watergates Crips. The main frontliners are located on 119th Street, while the cliques are located on 116th and 117th streets. The residential street that passes through the center of their neighborhood is called Nottingham Avenue. Among the Rollin 100s gangs, the Watergates Crips are one of the least active gang under the R100's alliances.

Which are consist of Budlong Gangster Crips, Raymond Avenue Crips along with the Hard Time Hustler Crips even though the Hard Time Hustler Crips is least active at the West Side of California. The rivals of The Watergates Crips are the Hawthorne Piru Gang and the West Side Denver Lane bloods as well. The main enemies of The Watergates Crips is the Deuce Tray Gangster Crips or least known as The 23GC, The 23GC throwing up a alligations to the Watergates Crips about the homies that died in the Hood Day of the Watergates Crips. That's why The Watergates Crips puts 23GC as the main enemies of the gang. The Watergates Crips are also known to feud with the other crip gangs under the Neighborhood Crips card such as the 111 Neighborhood Crips and the 112 Neighborhood Crips as well the 115 Neighborhood Crips in the past.

The Watergates Crips are known for their distinctive attire, often seen wearing Washington Nationals gear to symbolize their affiliation with the West Side, as well as traditional Baltimore Oriales and North Carolina Tar Heels gear to signify their Neighborhood Crip and Rollin O's allegiance.
