Very early photo of a Mongols MC member and their old lady with her property of patch. People get very upset about property of patch. What most don't know or understand is that in the early days these patches were worn so that every other club or junkie burnout would know that you were under the protection of that club or a specific member. And even saying as much as a hello could get you sent to the hospital. The member who sent this in and who I have talked to told me he isn't sure if this was one of the original patch designs before the adoption of the patch we all know, or if this was a unsanctioned spin off club. Back in the day people who wanted to be in clubs clubs like the Angels and Mongols just started their own charters without official permission from said club. In the 1970's and beyond.. if you are caught wearing a knockoff club Kut you probably would never walk again.. or breathe. A beating wouldn't be sufficient. Regardless, this is still a beautiful piece of motorcycling history. Respect.
