Florencia 13 are Mexican-American street gang based in Florence-Firestone South, LA. The infamous Willowfield Projects are neighborhood of Gangster Locas and Baby Locas that two cliques whose the number and structure holden up by Florencia 13. Two cliques now reside in the Willowfield Avenue area near of Housing Complex.

BACKGROUND

 

Florencia 13 is one of the biggest and most dangerous gangs in Los Angeles. Florencia 13 is a Mexican street gang that controls a sizeable territory. These gangs have more than 30 sets or cliques and some of these cliques have 300 to 400 members and a total of about 2000 to 5000 gang members spread throughout the city of Los Angeles. They set their sights on total domination in the districts of Florence and Firestone and they often use violence to control entire neighborhoods. F13 is a rival to many gangs in the city and "The Crips" is their main enemy. In the 1950s more than 90% of the population in the area were African Americans. Florencia 13 is named for Florence Avenue which is the main street near Roosevelt Park. Florencia 13 was created by young Mexicans who wanted to defend themselves against African Americans. They also tried to stand out and in the late 1950s the Mexican Mafia began recruiting Hispanic inmates from Los Angeles prisons. F-13 leaders joined the ranks and they sealed their allegiance to La Eme by adding "13" to their names. This was to combat the African-American inmate population in prisons. They unite to gain power. The F-13 started recruiting lots of young people and gaining lots of territory and by the 1960s they had hundreds of members. In the early 70's a gang member from Florencia 13 named Trinidad "Tray" Iglesias took violence to another level. He assaulted 14 officers of the Los Angeles Police Department. In May 1971, He assassinated Deputy Gary Sonders and in the 1980s the F-13 strengthened its ranks by recruiting a new wave of Latino immigrants to the area so that Florencia 13 began to enter African-American gang territory on the South Side and they came face to face with the gangs African-American. The F-13 are now based mainly in Firestone where this neighborhood was originally dominated by African Americans over 90% of the area's population were black but now Hispanics make up 90% of the population. A member of Florencia 13 who was imprisoned since 1979 for life and also a member of the Mexican Mafia named Artuto "Meja" Kastillia where he ordered F-13 to clean the Florence and Firestone areas from the Crips gang. Florencia 13 have expanded their territory into Huntington Park and South Watts and they are not shy about holding their own. The Florencia 13 are arch enemies of the Crips, who live in their western region. In 2004 the F-13 had nearly 2000 members and the war with the Crips was raging and the Crips Family was still a threat to them.

 

PRESENT DAY

 

Family Swan Bloods (FSB) and Florencia 13(F13) are tight up. They sharing their turf.

 

Jaycho Paez is a member of the Gangster Locas who lives in the Florence area near Huntington Park, South Los Angeles along with other members who inhabit this Gangster Lokas clique including Emmet Grount, Chulo Palmero, and officially from the Female click "Baby Locas" namely Jasmine Taquina has the initiative to put their small set in the city of Los Santos which of their small click has a close relationship with Mad Swan Bloods or known as the Byrd Gang which in the present day almost all of the Swan Family clicks have been declared virtually extinct due to political threats that same as the youth of Florence who is known they often share their hoods by themselves. The background of Florencia 13 used to be fierce rivals against the crips gangsters and hated all crip sets because it all made them have political similarities with the Bloods gang near their area. Jaycho Paez and other members have agreed and declared he would place their click in the City of Los Santos in the Willowfield section.

A member of Gangster Locas which is a clique of Florencia 13 who inhabits the Willowfield Projects was shot on the spot as he posted up on the pavement. In this chronology, Efraim "Yolo" Marquise, as the shooting victim, was walking casually when a Buick LaCrosse car approached him with about 3 black people who were allegedly affiliates of the Crips. This incident took place 3 minutes after they fired bullets at Efraim Marquise. The tragedy made both sides even more tense. two weeks after the shooting incident, Baby Locas is one of the female cliques held by Florencia 13 in Los Santos. Jasmine Taquina or known as LadyKnockout#1 and her two team partners hold orders to carry out planned murder by carrying out a "Field Trip" or known in another term as a pull a mission which they will carry out on their rival's hood. The Baby Locas' reputation has only grown since they are very adept at careful planning. The Infamous Baby Locas is considered one of the most dangerous and forbidden female clique in the City of Los Santos. The Los Santos Police have arrested a member of Baby Locas who is suspected of being involved in a premeditated murder in the Crenshaw area, which is the territory of their rival, one of the Crips set in the City of Los Santos.

Swan Bloods have affinity for Florencia 13 and some Florences (Youngsters from Clique F-13 Joker) call themselves "Bloods" and saying "Whoop" and they've rocked red falcons gear.

A : Faction ini mengadopsi dari salah satu geng jalanan di USA yaitu Florencia 13, memang dahulunya geng ini memiliki sejarah yang sangat panjang dan hanya beranggotakan Mexican akan tetapi seiring perkembangan zaman dan banyaknya geng politik di sekitar yang memiliki banyak rival dengan geng orang kulit hitam yaitu set "Crips" dan juga rival satu ras yaitu 38th Street yang mana memiliki kesamaan ras, dari segi politik tersebut yang mana kedua rivalnya adalah musuh bebuyutan dari set "Bloods" karena dengan hal tersebut F13 memiliki kedekatan dengan beberapa set Bloods di dekat wilayah mereka karena memiliki politik yang sama. Hal itu juga membuat semua hal berubah terutama dengan masalah rasial yang menjadi sumber peperangan mereka. Pada era modern ini mereka sudah mengakhiri masalah rasial itu, namun hingga detik ini F13 masih memiliki konflik dengan rival mereka.

A : karena di era modern kaya gini dan yang udah gue jelasin di atas, bisa kalian lihat bahwa F13 sekarang adalah salah satu geng jalanan Mexican terbesar bahkan sudah melebarkan wilayahnya di luar lingkungan mereka seperti di Watts, California dan beberapa wilayah lain. Dengan kondisi greografis tersebut secara tidak sengaja wilayah mereka juga menaungi beberapa komplek yang berisikan orang-orang kulit hitam dengan itu semua F13 melakukan rekruitmen di wilayah yang mereka naungi termasuk orang kulit hitam yang tinggal di wilayah F13.

A : Surenos, biar kalian tau perbedaan yang sangat mendasar antara Surenos dan Nortenos ialah di lihat dari nama geng seperti Florencia 13, South Side Locos 13, dan lain-lain. angka 13 atau dalam angka romawi "X3" adalah ciri khas mendasar dari Surenos berbeda dengan Nortenos mereka akan meletakkan angka 14 atau angka romawi "X4". Namun pada kenyataannya di era modern ini mereka telah melebur dengan kultur di USA. Mereka menggunakan bahasa bahasa terbaru dan gaul seperti layaknya remaja di USA. Mereka telah menggunakan NOWADAYS Slang yang mana itu adalah bentuk ekspresif yang membedakan warga Amerika Serikat dengan yang lainnya akan tetapi mereka juga masih terpaku dengan kultur asli mereka jadi dengan hal itu kami juga menggunakan sedikit slang dari kultur geng mereka yaitu Surenos seperti "Ese".
