Deep into the business, he fell short on money and had to make some arrangements with a loan shark. Despite all his effort, the debt kept on mounting up and before long it had reached the point where he couldn't pay for it anymore. He evaded the loan shark long enough until his death, where the loan shark finally found out about him and his step son, Ezequiel Carmona. Ezequiel was just hanging around the block when the loan shark came and demand the payment. Obviously Ezequiel didn't have such amount of money, he tried to run away but ended up being pushed into a house where he is drowned, and then dumped and buried on the hills north of Las Colinas.
