Nikolai Helvar Nazyalensky is the first and only child of the Nazyalensky family who lived in the port city of Vladivostok on the far east of the Russian region as the capital of Primorsky Krai province. Nikolai, or as his family and friends would like to call him as Niko, is born to the poor family of Nazyalensky. His father, Igor Nazyalensky is a fisherman of the port city while his mother, Vanessa Nazyalensky is just a waiter at a pub at the coast of the beach. With the family’s work history Niko is also a good fisherman as well as his father, which he would put in good use many years later. His father, Igor often got extorted and blackmailed by the local crime organization. He get the “special” treatment by the organization because his boat for fishing used by the crime organization as their means of smuggling illegal weaponry and other illegal stuff. After years of blackmailed, his father choose to bring his family to a brighter future by leaving the port city of Vladivostok. They hardly choose to move to the inner part of Russia or to a whole other continent like America. They think that moving to the continent of America is better as it would be the best choice to make distance with the crime organization they trying to avoid. They choose to make a living at the city of hope, Los Santos. After they bought a ferry ticket to the city, they packed their important belongings for the travel. Upon arrival on the city, the family then immediately rent an apartment while the father searches for a job opportunity. Niko, as the only and already mature man, found a job to help his family as his parents already in their old age. He become a taxi driver at the city. He continues to make his parents a happy couple in their old age by providing them with his earning from his job.
