           Raja Nasution born in Mandailing Natal Regency, Indonesia, to a Mandiling family Batak’s sub-ethnic group, that’s very well known for its strong patriarchal culture, strict custom, and certain dialect. Raja Nasution’s family considered as the blueblood, and often associated with nobility. His great-grandfather is fought alongside with the local independence fighter, to keep the regency of Mandailing Natal away from Dutch East Indies army. His great-grandfather and a strong involvement in local politics discourse, his voice is very well-thought-of when major decision ought to be produced. Many of the local called Raja’ great-grand father as a Datu, an Individual with the ability to cure other in such of traditional fashion, wise-mind, and strong influence in the community.

           Raja Nasution’s father, drafted to the Army under the leadership of General M. Panggabean, and stationed at Kodam Bukit Barisan. Born to a family that uphold the structure of feudalism made Raja Nasution had a strong privilege, in economic, and social capital matters. That such of circumstances boost up Raja Nasution in his own life. He’d attended prestige school. Living under New Order regime taught Raja to hate left-wing power, and framed Communism as his biggest enemy, he always glorified the Military power and thought that Angkatan Darat, is the one that saved Indonesia from a coup.

         Raja Nasution spent much of his time studied Quran, as he coming from a religious family. He aging up in Boarding School, or people basically called it “Pesantren”, He always been a moralist, and objected all of the progressive, pro-choice idea. Raja Nasution, also drafted to Indonesian National Armed Force (ABRI) before the notion of Military Dual Function abolition ever came to a discussion.  Raja Nasution, stationed to Jakarta Raya Military Regional Command, He’s quite a witness to May 1998 riot, what the media called it the “Fall of Suharto”, historical situation that marked as the triumph of Reformation, and democration. Raja Nasution has just a rank-and-file ( Non-commissioned), a First Officer, a rank that equal to a Private First Class in United States of America insignia. He’s very young, and dumb, Raja in a state that believed in everything the Nation said, his eyes been blinded by the ultra-nationalist idea, and tend to disregard even a neutral opinion.

            In 2003 to 2004, Raja Nasution deployed to an Integrated Operation against separatist group, called Free Aceh Movement (GAM) after Indonesia Government set forth an ultimatum to stop every resistance related to the bill of Aceh’s Special Autonomy. He’s a First Sergeant (Sersan Kepala) when the operation conducted. Even though that the operation reached its success, Raja Nasution tangled in a Human Right case, for engaged in a shooting with a man that’s in fact Innocence, and not affiliated with the Free Aceh Movement group. To ovoid the political friction in Indonesia, He is exiled to the United States of America and touched down the ground of Los Santos.
