Fabio Carapova was born on March 10th 1943 in Houston, Texas to a couple of surgeons Samuel and Catherine Carapova, but spent a majority of his childhood in Brazoria, a city widely regarded as one of the most conservative in Texas. Raised in a conservative family, Fabio is a strong advocate for conservative values: he believes in textualism and originalism. When asked to name people who he sees as role-models he names former Texas Supreme Court’s Chief Justice Robert Wilburn Calvert, and the late US Supreme Court’s Associate Justice Antonin Gregory Scalia.

He went to Yale for a degree in Political Science, graduating magna cum laude and would later go to University of Texas School of Law where he graduated top of his class. Fabio was also a member and an editor for the Texas Law Review, putting his name together with Lloyd Doggett, Edith Jones, and Joe R. Greenhill.

Fabio Carapova moved to San Andreas in 1990 and accepted a job at the Office of the District Attorney as an Assistant DA, before being promoted to District Attorney for San Andreas’ 1st District: a job he held for five years before accepting a position in the San Andreas Supreme Court in 2000.

Fabio’s appointment to the Supreme Court took many by surprise as many believe him to be too conservative for the job: everyone knew Fabio Carapova was going to be one of the most conservative judges sitting in the San Andreas Supreme Court, in history.

A card carrying member of the NRA, Fabio is a strong advocate for the second amendment. He believes – and has expressed his belief in public numerous times – the right to keep and bear arms to be one of, if not the most important right for the American people. He has several times expressed his regret of the state’s restrictive regulations on gun ownership, but when asked if he were to repeal these restrictions through the courts he outright denied the notion, calling the idea of making (or repealing) laws through the courts absurd.
