Senpai420 Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Xan Stanley It wasnt enough that the house in which he lived seemed enormous to young Coltisanto, but his father had to buy a piano so big, it covered a quarter of the living room. The first few days, Claude was even afraid to step by it, let alone play. His father knew how to sing and he loved the sound of music, but the behind of the black piano looked like a hungry, open mouth ready to chew his meat and bones and to turn him in multiple music notes like he saw in a cartoon a few months back. While the thought of having his body and persona fully become art appeals to Claude nowadays, his younger self couldnt get his courage together for such a sacrifice, and it was for the best, because his whole family loved him. They couldnt bear the idea of losing their heir. His piano teacher enjoyed his presence so much that the boy noticed and took advantage of it. The light pats on the shoulder turned into vanilla ice cream whenever the teacher had time to pass by the park. The beginning of a new lesson was met with chocolate bits and the ending of it with round, sweet candy. It was only a matter of time before the young boy learnt his way around the piano, and with this, his fear faded. At certain points of time, he even tried to write music of his own, music that was met with warm compliments from his family whenever there was a gathering. The gatherings were important for the Coltisanto family. They were a family of tradition and they had the funds to host every holiday at their big house. His father loved his relatives, especially his brother- Claudes uncle- who used to always drink crystal white moonshine and to tell stories from the war he never actually fought in. There was, though, one gathering in which he couldnt get himself to sing. Instead, tears of sorrow covered his face. He was supposed to hit the piano keys into a slow, beautiful song, but that day he failed to meet the expectations.
