Colt Danner Colt Jack Danner was born on September 29, 1997, in Blueberry, Red County. Most people just called him Dan. He grew up in Blueberry with his parents, where his father owned a small workshop that brought in just enough to keep the family going. When it was time for elementary school, Dan had to commute back and forth to Los Santos by bus because there were no schools in Red County. In the city, kids from Red County were treated like second-class citizens. They were always getting mocked for having "dirty" jobs like farming, lumberjacking, or being a mechanic. Dan was a prime target for those bullies. Dan was a tough kid, though. He did not hesitate to scrap or get into a fight if anyone tried to disrespect or mess with him. He became known as a troublemaker, which only made the people in Los Santos hate Red County folks even more. By the time he was a teenager, Dan was spending most of his time helping his father at the shop, getting better and better at fixing engines. He also picked up a hunting hobby from his crowd, spending a lot of time in the Whetstone area chasing deer. He even got into building his own weapons for hunting. One day, Dan was out hunting in Back o Beyond with his buddy Barn Patton. While they were tracking some deer, the forest police showed up on a routine patrol. Dan and Barn tried to make a break for it, but the officers spotted them and a chase started. When they got cornered, Dan felt he had no choice but to fire his rifle at one of the officers, leaving the guy in bad shape. Dan and Barn took off right away. A few days later, the police rolled up to Dan’s house. They arrested him for assaulting an officer and illegal hunting. His parents were completely blindsided because Dan had not said a single word about what happened. He was sentenced to six years in prison, though he got a bit of a break because the officer he shot survived. While he was locked up, Dan had to get even tougher and build some muscle just to survive. Three years in, while he was hanging out with some friends in the yard, a guard pulled him aside to break the news that his father had passed away. He was devastated. Shortly after, his mother visited him and told him the bank had snatched the workshop because of his father’s old debts. Hearing that made Dan’s heart sink, and he started to truly hate the government, seeing them as nothing more than a bunch of people who only look out for those in power.
