Callum "Cork" Armstrong Chapter I: The Omen One night in Los Angeles, United States, a baby boy was born to a married couple named Arthur Armstrong and Erneth Esmeralda, on January 14, 2008, and was named Callum Armstrong. Callum grew up in a modest environment. His father worked as a private employee and his mother no longer worked, but she had previously run a cake shop business which eventually went bankrupt because many new cake shops started opening. Callum grew up to be a smart and diligent child; he studied every day. One day, while in elementary school, he met his friend named James Gallaway. Callum and James met when Callum bought bread that James was selling at a festival. From there, they started to get to know each other and began building a small-scale business together, which was a mobile shoe-cleaning service. Every school holiday, they would go around the city offering their shoe-cleaning services, And after months of running it, they made a large profit. One day Callum accidentally saw his father getting into a fight with the city thugs; they were fighting because of his father's unpaid bank loan. Callum, who saw the fight, tried to stop the thugs, but because his body was still small, the thugs easily kicked Callum down. A few weeks after that incident, his father started selling the belongings he owned to pay off the very large bank loan, and even though his father had sold some of his assets, the money earned was still not enough to pay the bank loan. Callum, seeing his father's condition, could only stay silent because he realized that, being still a child and having no money, he could do nothing to help his father. Callum continued the mobile shoe-cleaning business that he had started with James, but unfortunately the money he earned was only a little. One night, while walking around the city on his way home, he saw thugs coming out of his house with bloodstains on their faces. Callum then panicked and ran inside the house. Once inside, he was shocked to see his father had been shot dead by the thugs. Callum could not hold back his tears because he was shocked to witness such a cruel incident. Since that incident, Callum, who was beginning to enter his teenage years, started practicing martial arts because he did not want to lose his mother. Callum had stopped running his shoe cleaning business and started a new business, selling bread with his mother. From this bread business, Callum's financial situation gradually improved and he was able to pay off his father's loan at the bank. Thanks to his uncle's help in providing business capital, Callum and his mother managed to start the bread business until their bakery became famous in the city of Los Angeles. Callum felt very indebted to his Uncle for helping him and his Mother continue their lives after his Father passed away. When he turned 18, Callum decided to move from Los Angeles to Los Santos to accompany his lonely Uncle whose wife had passed away. Feeling grateful, Callum gladly kept his Uncle company while his Mother continued their bakery business in Los Angeles. Upon arrival, it turned out that many problems would befall Callum, starting from his uncle who turned out to be a drug dealer, so Callum often got involved in fights with his uncle's rival dealers. Not long after moving to Los Santos, Callum became someone who often got into fights; he was known for being stubborn and hungry for respect. Callum would always beat up anyone who dared to stand in his way. To Be Continued...
