     A son named Daquan Hollis was born to a couple named Marcus and Maya in Harlem, New York, on September 15, 2006. Daquan’s father, Marcus, worked as a very busy truck driver he was away from morning until night, rarely spending time with Maya, his wife, and Daquan, his son. Meanwhile, Maya was a homemaker. From  a young age, Daquan was urged by his parents to focus on his studies. Maya and Marcus deeply desired for Daquan to grow up to be intelligent and successful. However, in Daquan's neighborhood, many children his age were going down the wrong path, defying their parents to engage in activities that were fun but widely considered improper.

 

     Consequently, Marcus and Maya raised their son strictly, rarely allowing him to stay out late and carefully selecting his playmates. Daquan did not attend a formal school. Instead, he was homeschooled by Maya, who had previously been a teacher. Over time, however, Daquan felt his parents were keeping him too confined at home, denying him the chance to socialize and make friends the way others did. Eventually, Daquan decided to run away from home to forge his own path in life.

 

     Marcus and Maya searched the entire city for Daquan and reported him missing to the police. Two years passed, yet neither his parents nor the police could find him. It turned out Daquan had become a youth working as a heavy equipment operator at a factory. He had completely changed his identity to avoid being found by Marcus and Maya. After work, he would spend his time drinking alcohol and using drugs with his friends. Although these habits threatened his future and financial stability, Daquan felt truly happy because he could chart his own course without pressure from his parents. To this day, Daquan Hollis lives with his friends, giving no thought to the feelings of the parents he left behind. Finally, he founds his friends in Los Santos the dirt bike crew on Monte Vista Avenue named Trail Blazers 12.
