Just Call Me Julian

Julian Montoya is an 18-year-old Chicano kid living alone in a small run-down apartment in South Los Santos after losing both of his parents at a young age. With no family left to rely on, he had to figure life out on his own. Every day is pretty much the same waking up early, grabbing a cheap cup of coffee, then heading out to look for whatever work he can find. Some days he's helping at a mechanic shop, unloading trucks at warehouses, carrying heavy boxes, or doing any dirty job that puts a few dollars in his pocket. When there's no work, he usually spends his time walking around the neighborhood, sitting outside liquor stores or bus stops, just watching people come and go. At night, he goes back to his apartment, cooks whatever he can afford, throws on some old-school Chicano rap, and writes random verses in an old notebook to get everything off his mind.

Growing up like this made Julian independent, quiet, and careful about who he trusts. To him, respect isn't something you ask for its something you earn. Even though he still dreams about making something better out of his life, maybe through music or just finding a real purpose, every day he sees people making fast money on the streets while he's barely making enough to survive. Deep down, he's not only looking for money, he's looking for a place where he finally belongs and people he can call family again. He has no idea where life is taking him, but one thing he knows for sure is that he doesn't want to end up as just another forgotten kid from South Los Santos. Somehow, some way, Julian Montoyo wants to leave a name that people on these streets will remember.
