His father worked various labor jobs around the county while his mother occasionally helped local families with cleaning and household work. Money was never abundant, but his parents always made sure there was food on the table and a roof over their heads. As a child, Romeo spent much of his time outdoors, helping neighbors carry equipment, cleaning yards, and doing small chores for anyone willing to pay a few dollars.

 

By the time he was old enough to work, Romeo had already built a reputation around Blueberry as someone who could be relied on. He started mowing grass for local residents during weekends and later began collecting trash and hauling unwanted items to disposal sites using an old pickup truck he shared with his father. The work was not glamorous, but it paid enough to help with expenses and taught him the importance of responsibility. After finishing school, he considered moving to a larger city, but family obligations and financial limitations kept him close to home. Instead of giving up, Romeo continued taking whatever work he could find, from warehouse shifts to delivery assistance jobs. He believed that staying busy was better than waiting for opportunities to appear on their own.

 

At twenty-seven years old, Romeo eventually found steady work as a delivery truck driver, transporting cargo between towns and cities across the state. Long hours behind the wheel quickly became part of his routine, and he grew accustomed to early mornings, late-night deliveries, and unpredictable schedules. Despite having a stable job, he never abandoned the side work that helped him get through difficult years. Whenever he had free time, he still accepted requests to mow lawns or collect trash for residents around Blueberry. Some people questioned why he continued doing those jobs when he already had a full-time career, but Romeo always gave the same answer: honest work is honest work. For him, success was never measured by status or attention. It was measured by being able to stand on his own feet and earn a living through dedication and effort.
