Draco Fitzgerald had been trying to get away from his family's shadow for most of his life. His father, Arthur Fitzgerald, was one of the most influential businessmen in Liberty City, and a man whose wealth was derived from deals that nobody dared to question too closely. Draco was brought up in a world of luxury, and he early learned that money could buy silence, loyalty, and even buy justice. However, Draco was not like the rest of his family; he did not want anything to do with that world. He wanted to be a police officer, and he thought if he worked hard enough he could make a life for himself, not one that was based on his father's reputation. He had been arguing and disappointed in New York for a number of years, so he decided to start over in Los Santos. He studied the law books and took the Police Academy entrance exams in his small apartment in the evenings. He felt like he was finally on the path to the future he wanted, for the first time in years.

Little did Draco realize that his father's business empire had enemies everywhere. One night, as he was arranging his books and reading the academy material, he heard a voice outside his window. He was curious and came closer and listened. The man on the porch was wearing an all black suit and was talking on the phone. A cold shivered down Draco's spine. The stranger was talking about an assassination that was scheduled to take place in Los Santos and the names of people associated with powerful criminal groups. Draco froze. He was not planning on doing anything dangerous, but now he has heard something that could ruin several people. The man saw someone moving through the window before he could quietly leave. Their eyes met. That one instant, Draco realized that he had made a terrible mistake. The other guy hung up and slowly made his way to the front door. He was called Achillies Morphy, a professional killer who didn't have the money for witnesses.

The following few minutes were like a nightmare. Achillies broke into the apartment and trapped Draco in the kitchen. Terrified, Draco begged for his life. He said he wanted to be a cop, that he had worked hard to put his past behind him, and that he wasn't going to tell anyone what he heard. He even told the father his name, and promised to pay him if he could make it through the night. However, Achillies did not budge. To him, witnesses were risks and risks were eliminated. As Draco sank to his knees, crying and shaking, the reality of death finally settled over him. He considered his dreams that he had never completed, the academy exam awaiting him the following morning and the mother he had left behind in New York. His last words were not for money or revenge. It was just an apology and a plea: "Tell my mother I'm sorry... if you ever see her." Achilles lowered his gun for a second, as if he were thinking of something else, but then he quietly said he would make it quick. One gunshot rang out in the apartment. It never really began, and now Draco Fitzgerald is left with nothing but silence in the room.
