He was the only son of Cheon Min-jae, a hardworking dock laborer, and Han Soo-yeon, a seamstress who spent long days mending the clothes for neighbors and local shops. His family never had much, but his childhood was steady in the way of a families often are. Ji-woon grew up as a quiet boy, the kind who spoke softly and watched everything closely in the matter of his eyes. He learned early about how to read a room, how to stay respectful, and how to keep his head down when life became difficult. Even as a child, there was always something thoughtful in the way he looked at the world, as though he understood that comfort could disappear at any moment without his knowing. When he turned eighteen, the life he had known was interrupted by the one thing every Korean man had to face sooner or later, a mandatory military service. Ji-woon was drafted into the army and for the next stretch of his life, the boy from Busan was shaped into something harder and more disciplined. The military taught him how to endure pressure and survive on little sleep and even less patience. It also taught him restraint, because in the service, every mistake has it own price. By the time he finished his draft, he was no longer the same young man who had left home. He had become sharper, quieter in a different way and even far more aware of how unforgiving the world could be. After completing his service, Ji-woon decided not to return to the same life he had left behind. Instead, he made his way to Little Seoul. He carried only a small suitcase, some savings, and the hope that he could build something better for himself in a new place. Los Santos was louder and even far less forgiving than home, but Little Seoul gave him a sense of familiarity in the middle of all that chaos. He found himself surrounded by faces that reminded him of where he came from, even if his path was now taking him somewhere else entirely. To most people around him, he looks like a calm young man trying to start over after his military duty, but beneath that quiet presence is someone who has already been tested by discipline, hardship, and the weight of expectation.
