His father, a truck driver who smelled like cigarettes and cheap whiskey, had just backhanded his mother across the face for burning the rice again. March 12, 1998. The date stuck in his head because it was two days before his little sister Aiko's fourth birthday. At least that was the case. He remembers how his knuckles stung when they connected with his dad's thigh, how the man laughed before shoving him into the fridge so hard the magnet collection rained down. His mom worked night shifts at a pachinko parlor while his dad gambled away her earnings; they lived on instant noodles and the bruised fruit Aiko would sneak from the market near her kindergarten. By ten, shinchi's shoulders were permanently hunched, like he was always bracing for impact. Everything changed the winter he turned fourteen as his dad came home at 3 AM reeking of perfume that wasn't his mother's, tripped over Shinchi's schoolbag in the genkan. Watch where you're going, old man," Shinchi muttered, not even looking up from his manga. The next thing he knew, his nose was bleeding onto the pages. But this time, something snapped. He grabbed the cast iron teakettle off the stove and swung. The sound it made against his father's temple still haunted him sometimes. That was just how it went. "You wanna hit me? Hit me proper," his dad slurred, wiping blood from his eyebrow. Shinchi ran that night, slept under the slides at Minami Park until his classmate Ryo found him shivering there two days later. Never went back home except to grab Aiko for good when she turned twelve. For a while, he crashed at Ryo's family's auto shop, sweeping floors in exchange for a cot in the storage room. Learned to hotwire cars from Ryo's older brother Takeshi, who'd slap the back of his head when he got cocky. There were fights, of course. A broken bottle at Club Styx left him with a scar through his left eyebrow. He got Aiko into a decent high school by threatening the principal with "information" about his weekend habits. These days, he runs a garage in Namba with two ex-yakuza mechanics who respect him more than his father ever did.. Still carries that dented teakettle in his trunk, though. Just in case. Apakah Character Story yang kamu buat ini ada campur tangan bantuan AI? Apakah Character Story yang kamu buat ini mengambil / mencuri dari hasil copy paste Character story orang lain? Ada berapa UCP yang kamu miliki saat ini?
