Cassius “Cass” Canowicakte was born into a simple Native American family in South Dakota. He grew up in a family that was not rich, but they never lacked anything. His father worked as a lumberjack to support the family, while his mother stayed at home and kept the tribal values and traditions that had been passed down for generations. Cassius’s family lived a simple life, but their financial condition was stable and secure. His family also strongly believed in living without debt, so whenever Cassius wanted something, his father taught him to save money first instead of buying it right away.

 

Since he was a child, Cassius was known as a quiet boy who preferred to observe rather than talk too much. He grew up close to his family and childhood friends from the same tribe. From them, he learned about loyalty, respect, and the importance of keeping his Native American identity. During his teenage years, Cassius had the opportunity to study at Fort Benton High School. At school, he was not the most popular student, but people knew him as someone friendly and easy to get along with. He had a few close friends, especially other Native American students. He joined school activities when needed and spent his teenage years like most young people.

 

After graduating, Cassius started to feel like his life had no clear direction. His family never pressured him, but he realized that he could not stay in his comfort zone forever. Without a clear goal, he moved to Los Santos to experience a new environment, meet new people, and try to find his true self. But even now, he still feels like someone searching for a place to truly call home. Right now, Cassius works in the same field as his father, cutting trees. However, unlike his father, Cassius chose an illegal path and became an illegal logger. He did this because he did not have enough money to get a Lumberjack License, which was quite expensive on the police website. Until now, Cassius is still searching for his true purpose, hoping to become a better man and find a better job someday.
