$P A T R I O T$ Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Lucien_Salvatierra Lucien Salvatierra was born on August 27, 2005, in Guanajuato, Mexico, a place where fear was as common as the morning sun. For most children, the sound of laughter filled the streets. For Lucien, it was the sharp crack of gunshots in the distance and the uneasy silence that followed. Growing up in a city controlled by the cartel meant learning very early that violence was a part of everyday life. He had seen things no child should ever have to see bodies left in the open, abandoned for hours or even days as warnings to anyone who dared to cross the wrong people. The police were there, but everyone knew they were powerless. The cartel ruled the streets, and even those sworn to uphold the law were too afraid to challenge them. Lucien tried to live like any other teenager, keeping his head down and focusing on his family. But everything changed when his father was involved in a tragic accident and unintentionally killed a cartel member. What followed was not grief, but a threat. The cartel demanded a large sum of money as compensation, a debt his parents could never hope to repay. Watching the fear in his mother’s eyes and the helplessness in his father’s face, Lucien made a decision that would alter the course of his life. He offered himself to the cartel, volunteering to transport and sell narcotics without receiving a single peso until his family’s debt was paid. The cartel accepted. To their surprise, Lucien proved to be calm, reliable, and far more capable than anyone had expected. Within his first year, he completed every task with efficiency and earned the respect of men who rarely admired anyone. By the time the debt was finally settled, Lucien had changed. What began as a sacrifice for his family had become the only life he knew. He no longer saw himself as a frightened boy trying to protect his parents; he had found a place where he was valued, where his loyalty and skill meant something. So he stayed. Years later, that life was shattered when local police launched a major raid on the cartel’s headquarters, reducing their operation to ruins. Lucien escaped alongside several high-ranking leaders and a handful of surviving members. With nothing left for them in Mexico, the leaders chose to start over in Los Santos. Lucien went with them without hesitation. In Los Santos, far from the streets where his story began, he set out to rebuild the cartel from the ground up, carrying with him the same determination that had once driven him to save his family.
