$Depoy$ Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Tony_Gamboa Tony Gamboa was raised mostly by his mother in a small, run-down apartment on the south side of town, while his older brother, Rudy Gamboa, increasingly spent time outside with his neighbors. Unlike Rudy, Tony became more withdrawn as a child and preferred to stay at home. His mother tried hard to keep Tony away from the streets by encouraging him to focus on his studies and avoid the distractions of their neighborhood. However, even then, Tony couldn't ignore his older brother's influence on the neighborhood. Rudy was widely known, respected, and sometimes feared, something Tony came to admire and understand as he grew older. When Tony's mother died in an unexpected accident when he was seventeen, everything changed, and he had nowhere to go. Rudy took the initiative and invited Tony to live with him in the Graciela Housing Estates because no one else wanted to live there. Tony was unfamiliar with the neighborhood; it was louder, noisier, and filled with people who followed the rules of the street rather than the rules his mother had installed in him.At first, Tony was quiet, studying from the sidelines while Rudy went about his business and interacted with the people in the neighborhood. But as time went on, Tony began spending more time outside the house, gradually becoming familiar with everyone who lived in the neighborhood. Rudy began teaching him how the neighborhood operated, including who to trust, how to move, and how to stay alert. Although Tony is still young and constantly learning, he is now more often seen standing beside his brother by others in the Graciela neighborhood. Some believe Tony Gamboa is essentially trying to survive after losing the only stable thing in his life, while others believe it won't be long before he finds his own place on the streets.
