From a young age, Matteo was known as a quite and obedient but curious child. He often spend his time listening to family stories about life's struggles and unfulfilled dreams, which gradually shaped his worldview. His father, Alejandro Cortez, is a hardworking construction worker, while his mother, Sofia Cortez, is a nurse known for her gentle and empathetic nature. Their family comes from immigrant background that came the United States with the hope of providing a better life for their children. From his father, Matteo learned the meaning of determination and respondbility, while from his mother, he learned compassion, patience, and the importance of helping others. In their small home, dinner this was often filled with stories and laughter. The Cortez family would gather around the dining table, sharing stories about their day while enjoying simple meals prepared with love. small moments like these made Matteo realize that his family was his greatest source of strength. Matteo's journey in life was not always easy. he faced many challanges, ranging from his family's financial pressure to his own struggle to find his identity between two different cultures. At times, felt as if he had to choose between being American enough or Staying true to his cultural roots. this confusion once made him feel isolated. However, these experiences ultimately shaped him into a strong and wise individual. He learned that identity is not something that must be choosen as one or the other, but something that can be fully embraced. with the determination inherited from his parents, Matteo continues to move forward, carrying a big dream to one day prove that hard work, courage, and hope can truly change a person's destiny.
