At the young age of six, his mother, Angelina John, took him to the United States, specifically to the San Fierro Police Headquarters, to visit his father, James Hernandez, who had been arrested for cocaine smuggling into the country with his accomplices. However, during the pursuit, two of his accomplices escaped by jumping into a shallow river. His father, unable to swim and having been shot in the leg, ultimately offered no resistance, and he was captured. When Patricio was 12, his mother decided to move to the United States because his father was about to be released from prison. They eventually moved with limited funds and rented a house. Patricio was very sociable, so he easily adapted to his new environment. He also learned American, and eventually, with the help of his schoolmates, he spoke it fluently. Finally, Patricio's father was free when he was 17 and his father immediately took him to watch a San Fierro 69ers football game. When his father was changing his clothes, his eyes fell on his father's tattoo that said Norteño Solider. He just ignored it and accepted his father's offer. Then they took a taxi to the stadium. When they arrived there, his father told Patricio to wait a moment because his father had a problem. Patricio, who was waiting for his father, was suddenly approached by his friend named Max Morgan. They discussed until his father arrived and they walked to enter the stadium. Patricio, who had entered his 20s, finally decided to go to the city of Los Santos with the aim of looking for work there. His father, who cared about him, gave him a little advice not to follow in his father's footsteps. Then he left by plane to Los Santos.
