But life took a turn one year later when Mamma Joy suddenly fell ill with a heart condition. Despite having all the money in the world for the best doctors, she passed away shortly after. Cody was devastated, but he remembered her wish for him to be a leader in their community. He turned his garage into a training center for street kids, proving that even a kid from the bottom can flip the script and build a legendary legacy. However, Chicago started to feel heavy with the weight of his grief. Every street corner and every soul food spot reminded him of the mother he had lost. He realized that to truly grow the "Burns Legacy," he needed a fresh start on a bigger stage. One night, after receiving an invitation from a legendary underground car collective, Cody decided to take his talents to the West Coast. He packed his finest gear, loaded his custom silver Porsche onto a transport, and drove toward the sun-soaked skyline of Los Santos. He arrived in Los Santos at sunset, the city lights reflecting off his car’s polished frame. He didn't just come to race; he came to dominate the scene. Cody set up a new shop near Strawberry, blending his Chicago street-wear roots with the high-octane car culture of San Andreas. In the city of Los Santos, Cody Burns was no longer just a kid from the South Side; he was a rising mogul looking to build a new empire while never forgetting the woman who started it all.
