Reina is the daughter of Hideo Hayashi and Miyuki Ichihara. From the outside, her life may have seemed like that of any other child, but the reality was different. Her parents lived in a world full of risks, surrounded by constant danger and threats. Little Reina knew nothing of this. For her, childhood was all about playing, laughing, and feeling safe. However, as time went on, these threats became more and more real. To protect her, Hideo and Miyuki ultimately made the most difficult decision of their lives: entrusting Reina to an orphanage. It wasn't because they didn't want her, but rather because of their overwhelming love for her, they were willing to leave so that their daughter could grow up safely. Reina's days at the orphanage were simple. Reina woke up early, went to the nearby public elementary school, and then came home to play with the other children. Her grades were quite good—never too bad, but never particularly outstanding either. Reina wasn't the type of child to seek attention; she preferred to remain quiet, observe, and adapt to her surroundings. Although she sometimes wondered about her parents, the orphanage's caretakers always tried to reassure her with gentle answers, even though they themselves were harboring a big secret. Years passed, and Reina slowly learned to accept her life. Until one afternoon, her life changed again. A senior caretaker called her into the living room. Her face looked heavy, holding back something. With a trembling voice, she delivered the bitter news: both her parents were dead. They had been killed in a major clash between the group they belonged to and the police in Little Tokyo, Los Santos. The battle ended in chaos, and that was where Hideo and Miyuki's story ended. Reina remained silent. She now understood why her parents chose to distance themselves, why they left her at the orphanage. It wasn't because they didn't care, but because they wanted her to live a normal life, away from the dangers they faced every day.
