Richthofen Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Reina_Takahashi Reina Takahashi was born in Shirakawago, Japan, a traditional village known for its gasshō-zukuri(合掌造り) architecture, These house have steep thatched roofs that look like praying hand, with slow and quiet life in the village. Reina grew up in a middle class family, Her father worked for the local government, while her mother ran a small restaurant known as shokudō(食堂) for tourists and neighbours with her grandfather. Her childhood was kind of stable, she studied at the local elementary school and joined Bukatshu(部活) or extracurricular that ran by the student themself and took part in village festivals, such as the winter festivals. Even with these traditions, Reina often felt bored in the countyside. She spent a lot of her free time watching anime and reading manga about racing, like Initial-D, MF Ghost and Overtake!. From these stories, her love start to growing up to Japanese Domestic Market (JDM cars) dan Japanese Street Racing culture, such as ZERO-YON (ゼロヨン), Touge (峠) and Wangan (湾岸). When she turned 12 years old. Reina started junior high school in Takayama, the closest city. She need to traveled to that city by a train which took her about thirty minutes. During junior high, her interest in JDM cars grew stronger. She read old car magazines, collected JDM posters and watched racing shows on the TV. Though she was too young to drive, she loved observing cars in parking lots and on Takayama streets. After finising junior high, she continued her studied in Takayama High School. High school life gave her more freedom to explore her hobbies as Gearhead or Mōtāheddo(モーターヘッド) and Old-JDM Enthusiast known as Kyusha(旧車). She sometimes went to car exhibitions and saw the JDM community expand in the city. By then, she had started to learn the basics of car modification and followed online forums to stay updated. While she never joined legal or illegal street racing, she began to see herself as part of Japanese racing culture. Reina was also good in school even she is more often spent her time on cars and its culture. Influenced by her family's restaurant work, Economics and business are nothing to Reina's eyes and these subject helped her decide what to study in the future. When she graduated high school, Reina chose to continue her studies in United States of America as foreign student. With her family's support, she moved to Los Santos to study Economic and Business. The education is not the only reason why Reina wanted to come to Los Santos by herself, but her passion for Japanese car culture that stayed with her, shaping who she was as a student and as a young woman that living her college life in Los Santos.
