Deutschi Poullsen never imagined his life would end this way. What had started as a harmless attempt to ease the weight of stress, just one or two tries, slowly turned into something he couldn’t let go of. Cocaine became both his closest companion and his greatest enemy, the only thing that gave him a fleeting sense of being alive. Time and time again he swore to himself that he would stop, but he can’t. That he would walk away, yet every promise collapsed the moment his body began to ache for more. The addiction hollowed him out little by little, and somewhere deep inside, he knew it was consuming him.

One night, his supply was gone. It felt as if the world was closing in around him. His hands shook violently, sweat dripped down his face, and he could barely hold his phone steady, but he still managed to call someone he thought he could trust. He convinced himself that this call would save him, that the panic clawing at his chest would fade once the deal was done. He ignored the silence of the streets, the flickering streetlamp overhead, and the warning in the back of his mind. All that mattered was the high he was chasing.

But the deal was nothing but a trap. Instead of the package he expected, his hand closed around a bag filled with useless stones. Confused and enraged, Deutschi lashed out, kicking the man in front of him. That single act sealed his fate. The dealer drew a knife and drove it into his body again and again. The pain was sharp, merciless, and final. Blood spread beneath him as his vision dimmed, each breath weaker than the last. His story ended there, not with redemption or glory, but with silence, betrayal, and regret.
