His experience in an orphanage from a young age gave Pique an insight into life far beyond his peers. He wasn't the type to seek the limelight, but the limelight came to himself. He is obsessed with total domination over every variable and perfect efficiency. Emotion is weakness, and for Pique, loyalty is the only thing that can humanize him. Only a few people have had the privilege of being called family by Pique, and those people have proven unwavering loyalty. They then become a bastion of defense and something that ensures that any transgression will be avenged. His anger wasn't passionate, and it was palpable. But Pique's anger metamorphosed into a cold vengeance fueled by a strategy shaped by the patience of a hunter. “Buster,” a black Chevelle muscle car in pristine condition, vividly showcases Pique's maniera of life. To Pique, Buster serves as an extension of himself and as a life companion whom he trusts wholly. The V8 engine’s roar fills the voids in Pique's life. Among a world filled with a series of manipulation, freedom is found solely within Buster where Pique is effortlessly unbothered and in control. Pique's association with Buster goes beyond the customary bond of owner and property. This bond is intimate; they are like partners. The understanding between them is profound; Buster appears to know every intention of Pique, and Pique knows every vibration of his machine. For Pique, any form of destruction or even a mere scratch on Buster makes him cold, sending him into calculated retaliation mode. While working on the damage to his Buster in the garage, Pique received an unexpectable message. "Nero is untraceable. Those bastards are Los Jalisco Nueva's dogs." Nero, an old mechanic who had once taken care of Pique's machines was part of his small family. Buster had been at his strongest because of Nero. Though he was angry, Pique hardly remains himself to keep on track and calm. For him, power and money didn't matter anymore. As for Pique, he did not take these words as the threat they were. To him, it was a ridiculous insult. His reply didn't require spending much time thinking about it. They had crossed the line, and they deserved a punishment, he believes. Only after responding to the text did, he allow himself to collapse and sob against the cold steel hood of Buster. “Something they cannot control has been awakened deep inside them. There is no going back for them, my buddy Buster.
