After leaving the San Andreas Police Department, Orlando Capmany decided to start a new chapter by working as a builder for a company in Los Santos. As part of his backstory, nearly all of the money he earned during his time on the force had been donated to charity. With little left, he began his life anew. Over time, the needs of his family, his wife and child grew heavier, and Orlando felt compelled to find a way to support them. He had no regrets about his past decisions, but desperation led him to borrow money from an old acquaintance, a man infamously known for his ruthless debt collection methods. The man was Edgar Talamentes.

Orlando borrowed far more than he could repay. Though he kept delaying payment, Edgar was under relentless pressure from his superior to collect the debt by any means necessary. Orlando often tried to bring up memories of their past, hoping to soften Edgar’s resolve. But Edgar, burdened by both orders and frustration, was running out of patience.

One fateful day, Edgar had had enough. He demanded a meeting on the very day Orlando had promised repayment. The location: a bar, entirely rented out by Edgar for privacy. Orlando, with nothing in hand, still came exhausted, hopeless. He tried to mask the tension by ordering a bottle, perhaps to soothe his nerves. But emotions boiled over.

In a moment of bitter anger feeling betrayed by a friend he once trusted Orlando threw the bottle at Edgar. He couldn’t believe that someone he once called brother would turn against him under pressure. But Edgar, now stripped of mercy and under the weight of his own obligations, snapped. As Orlando turned to leave, Edgar saw no more room for leniency. And so, he pulled the trigger. There were no more warnings. No more grace. Only consequence.
