Born in East Los Santos in the middle of a scorching August back in 1995, Cove’s world was messed up from the beginning. His dad, Colby Elanga, was in deep with drugs, always chasing a high and never really there for him. His mom died when Cove was only five. That kind of loss leaves a hole in you that nothing really fills. Colby never hit him or anything, but he wasn’t much of a dad either, just kind of there, like a shadow that never did much. Eventually, the pain caught up with Colby, and one day, he ended it all. That left Cove completely alone, until his uncle, Matthew Jonas, stepped in and took him under his wing. Uncle Matt wasn’t rich, but he gave Cove what he needed: stability, and someone who actually cared. Against all odds, Cove did okay for himself. He studied hard, graduated with honors from the University of Los Santos, and even became a cop. For a while, it looked like he was on the right track. But life’s not a straight line and sometimes, old ghosts come back around. He started hanging out with shady people, doing favors, looking the other way. It escalated fast. Cove ended up deep in an illegal arms dealing operation. He used his badge to cover it all up, thinking he could juggle both lives. He couldn’t. He got caught, fired, and thrown in prison for five years. When he got out, there wasn’t much left no job, no friends, no real place to go except his uncle’s motorcycle workshop. Loud, dirty, smelled like oil and metal, but it was honest. Cove had changed after getting out of prison. He didn’t talk much, had a short temper, and didn’t really trust people. His past was still there, always in the back of his mind, but he was trying to stay out of trouble. Working at his uncle’s motorcycle shop kept him busy. It wasn’t fancy or exciting, but it was honest work. At first, he was just helping out cleaning tools, lifting heavy parts, changing oil. But over time, Cove started to really like it. He liked the sound of the engines, the smell of fuel and grease, and how working on bikes made him feel calm. For once, he wasn’t thinking about his mistakes. He was focused. Focused on fixing something, even if it was just an old engine. He never thought he’d care about motorcycles, but being around them every day started to change that. He learned more, asked questions, and even started working on his own project bike. It gave him something to look forward to. Cove knew he couldn’t erase the past, but maybe, just maybe, this was a new path for him, one that didn’t lead back to jail or bad decisions, but to something real.
