As a child, Brock was raised strictly by his parents. When he was just 10 years old, he dropped out of school due to his family's financial struggles, which forced him to start working to help ease the burden. Brock worked at a fast-food fried chicken restaurant as a server. He worked very hard to support his two younger siblings. As Brock grew older and turned 18, he decided to look for a steady job and became a taxi driver around his neighborhood. One day, while driving drowsily, he accidentally hit an elderly woman who was trying to cross the road. Since that incident, Brock was overwhelmed with guilt and attempted to end his life behind the bar where he usually went drinking. Just as he was about to do it, an unknown man suddenly punched him from behind, stopping his suicide attempt. Brock, feeling offended, immediately fought back and a brawl broke out behind the bar. Unexpectedly, more than 10 people witnessed their fight, making them the center of attention. Not long after the incident, Brock and the stranger seemed to grow closer. His name was Tyler the man who had prevented Brock's suicide. Inspired by their fight behind the bar, Brock and Tyler came up with an idea to create an underground boxing club, located in the warehouse behind the bar. Brock and Tyler began to gather people who were hopeless and wanted to release their anger through the club. Two months passed, and the underground boxing club grew increasingly popular, attracting followers from both the wealthy and the poor who were fed up with their lives. The name of the underground boxing club founded by Brock and Tyler was Fight Club.
