His life was simple, peaceful, and full of dreams in his childhood. But fate had something else in store for him. One night, his entire world crumbled both his parents were brutally murdered by a well-known drug cartel. His father was involved with criminal cartels, and the price of betrayal was redemption in blood. The cartel was ruthless, taking no mercy killing both parents right away. Luke was devastated and feared for his life, so he chose to run. He left the United States and headed south, ending up in Chile. There, a long way from home, Luke had to grow up quickly. With no one to speak to, no assistance, and not much money, he learned to survive on his own. He did any job he could get and, in his free time, tinkered with machinery, with a special interest in motorcycles. Rebuilding engines was therapeutic for Luke. The noise, the speed, the freedom it was all great. His dream of dreams was to design a freeway bike, a custom machine that would carry him on endless freeways. While he was beginning to draw it, a weird fellow named El Flo approached him. El Flo offered him a proposition: travel to Los Santos, to the desolate part of Willow, and build a motorcycle for a guy named Dave from a gang called The Cults. Luke was a passenger. By the time he reached Willow, he knew it instantly. It was a festering town with crime, noise, and violence a town that seethed with life. Fixing up Dave's motorcycle, he was helplessly sucked into the society of the motorcycle clubs. He witnessed members' loyalty, their code unspoken, their respect on the street. Luke was hooked. For the first time in years, he did not feel out of place. He saw in the club what he had lost those many years ago a family. The highway, the brotherhood, the cause it all called to him. Thus started a new chapter in Luke Butler's life. The boy who ran away from his past was now racing toward a future based on two wheels, thunder, and brotherhood.
