Ephraim Bonaficio

       Ephraim Bonaficio, born in Chicago, June 18, 2007. Ephraim is the son of Andrew Bonaficio and Isabella Chloe. Ephraim grew up in a poor and stressful family. His father often disappeared who knows where, while his mother worked day and night as a waitress in a restaurant to support Ephraim and his two younger siblings. Ephraim had already shown signs of rebellion. He was known as a child who liked to argue, was difficult to control, and often caused trouble at school. It all started when Ephraim befriended a boy named Marcus, who turned out to have connections with a small criminal group in their neighborhood. At the age of 14, he started getting involved in illegal motorcycle racing and stealing small items from nearby shops. Although he was caught and reprimanded several times, he never gave up. For him, life was about survival. He felt that no one cared, so why should he care?

      One night, Ephraim accidentally witnessed Nick and some of his friends conducting illegal transactions in an old warehouse on the outskirts of town. He realized that they were selling stolen goods and distributing drugs, at that time Ephraim also saw another teenager involved in drug use overdose near his house. This incident made Ephraim realize that drugs are a real enemy that damages the young generation and destroys the future. Although trying to improve himself, Ephraim often feels doubtful and afraid of rejection from his environment and old friends. There is also pressure from his family who expects him to get a job and live a better life. He also has to fight against feelings of fear and uncertainty

      By the time he graduated from high school, Ephraim had come a long way from his dark past. Ephraim was still emotional and stubborn at times but he still had a direction and purpose for his bright future. Unfortunately, Ephraim's father was involved in a single accident on his way home, of course Ephraim was devastated, especially since he was still in the process of improving himself. Currently he only has a mother who of course he tries to make his beloved mother proud.
