$Kang Udin$ Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 Alex Sherrington Alex Sherrington was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York amid the chaos of the city and the harsh realities of lower-class life. His father was an old mechanic who talked more to machines than to his children, while his mother worked odd jobs from one diner to another. Alex's life was never easy. Since he was little, he was taught to "don't ask too many questions, just work." At the age of 14, Alex could already disassemble and reassemble a beat-up motorbike and help his father in the workshop, even though he also had to listen to the daily chatter about "being a man means being tough." His grades were mediocre, and he never dreamed of becoming anything. The only thing that kept him going was the streets a place where he felt free. After graduating from high school, Alex became a pizza delivery boy, then applied for a job as a taxi driver in Manhattan. Behind the wheel, he began to understand how the real world worked. He delivers passengers from all walks of life: businessmen, drunk celebrities, girls who have run away from home, to people who are more silent but whose eyes hold thousands of stories. For almost 15 years driving a taxi in New York, Alex's life has never been free from drama. But the most devastating thing happened in 2022, when he was forced to deliver a "package" by a regular customer who turned out to be part of a local drug ring. Alex didn't know what was in it, but unfortunately the police didn't care about "not knowing." He was detained for 3 days until finally evidence from his dashcam proved that he was not involved. Although he was free, his reputation was ruined. His friends distanced themselves, his workplace closed the door, and he was evicted from his apartment for being three months late in paying rent. Alex slept in his car for weeks, wandering around looking for hope that was like small change falling behind the seat. At that lowest point, he decided to leave everything and start from scratch. He heard from one of his old passengers about Los Santos a city full of opportunities and full of danger. Without thinking twice, he sold his only car and bought a one way ticket. Upon arriving in Los Santos, Alex realized that life here was no less brutal than New York. But at least, he could be whoever he wanted to be and that was enough. He rented a used car, applied to be a freelance taxi driver, and began to rebuild his once torn life. Not many people knew about his past, and he didn't really want to talk about it either. What mattered now was that he could give rides, listen to random stories from strangers, and occasionally give sharp advice from behind the rearview mirror. Alex might not be an important person, but he was part of the pulse of this city continuously turning on four wheels full of memories. For him, every passenger was not just a job, but a reflection of the past, the present, or even a future that might not be brighter. But he wasn't afraid. Because as long as he could drive, life would go on. And as long as his taxi engine was still running, Alex Sherrington wasn't finished.
